    1. That is a great one Stijn! Most likely this frame was made in his memory...
    2. That is a great suprise! I am glad that you finally received it. I love the sculpture. Are there any engravings?
    3. Hi! It is great to see you here. From what I can see, I dont find any faults with this ribbon bar(construction wise). I am far from an expert with these so I look forward to seeing the opinions of the more learned! Paul
    4. That is a really great grouping. What is the medal awarded for?
    5. Great stuff guys. Yes Peter, this is relevant. I will change the title to Replying to German WW1 Vets that Fight in WW2 as Allies.
    6. Amazing stuff! You SHOULD really get his personnel file/archival research! This group also wanted me to tell you that it wants to come to Paul's house for a visit! Congratulations!
    7. That is a beautiful medal! I wonder how many were awarded?
    8. What a wonderful set!! I had always loved the Red Stars. I just wish I would have gotten more then they 10 dollars a piece!
    9. That is a very nice lithograph! Thank you for sharing it. A Very Merry Christmas to you and your family as well!
    10. It is interesting that it is mentioned that General Stanisław Sosabowski won just about every Austrian award available to an NCO, but there is not a listing of them. He also does not wear any of them on his WW2 uniform. Did he get the Prussian EK2? The one photo on the last link has him only wearing the Austrian medals. Regards Paul
    11. I watched a documentary on the event and it was revealed that the role of the sharks was greatly over stated. Sure... there were some seen, but they were mainly eating the deceased.
    12. Standing by to learn something... If those are not good, I will be very scared.
    13. I like your bar as well. The Centenial medal actually has this man's service starting well before 1918! (1901). Tom, there has to be a way to make bigger images. How many pixels do you have per inch set on your scanner? Look at the size of Scott's images. You should be allowed to make much bigger images...
    14. Oh I agree with you 100%. I bet that errors are more common than period perfect bars. I really like the patina and uniform wear on the ribbons(from what can be seen). Can you post some closeups?
    15. Hey Tom, I am surprised at the order that these medals are arranged. I would think that the KVK2 would have filled the number 2 position.
    16. Better photos are needed, but I do like what I see. It does look like someone has polished the medal...
    17. Based upon my limited experience, it looks promising!! I have not seen any other NC EK bars with TR service medals.
