    1. Seniority of similar medals from different services varies depending upon the branch of service you take as the primary service.
    2. Thank you for sharing your very focused collection with us. These medals are very beautiful and unique. I learned a lot from this post! Do you have any other Congo related medals or militaria?
    3. I have not forgotten. I will stop by that surplus store next week and take the pictures.
    4. Very nice collection. Now, you need to get the reserve components GCMs. Can you please shoot a shot of the reverse of the CG CGM?
    5. http://old.radio.cz/pdf/pdf?articleid=145615 He saved the life of an American Soldier.
    6. Wow! That is cool. I bet that there are some presentation photos out there, somewhere.
    7. Here is a close up of the painted script. Very well executed, unlike the bring back(true "battle flags") that were found in the field/outdoors.
    8. I know. Ironically, she certainly found that she could be(replaced).
    9. I was reading about the golden yellow color, but I understood that as the regular Luftwaffe members wore the regular LW Golden Yellow WAFFENFARBE of the fliegertruppen. I do know that the golden yellow nebenfarbe was worn for Meteorologists before 1939, after which it was changed to the "storm cloud" gray. You do have a brown nebenfarbe? Do tell! Is it Dark or Light Brown.
    10. Niether have I. 16 years of service(at least) and no other ribbons, there is no other option than pre WW2.
    11. I have never seen anything like it, but I love the marked shoulder boards.
    12. The nebenfarbe is grey and the waffenfarbe is dark green. I was hoping the nebenfarbe was brown when I bought it, but I am still pretty happy with the board.
    13. I was reading Dennis Nielson's bio last night. It stated that he earned the General Service Medal during his time in the Army.
    14. That is some cool stuff! I am sorry to say that I do not know mucy about the porcelian bowls.
    15. It is a shame that these labor groups are impossible to research... Still a cool document and a valid piece of history.
