    1. As Rick informed me, personnel working UNDER the General Staff most likely wore their original waffenfarbe. Although(I will make a scan of what I am referencing), the book I am reading states that there were officials that were made bona-fide members of the General Staff.
    2. I was reading a book on the Luftwaffe General Staff by Andrea's Neilson(sp?), who was a member of the General Staff, himself. He wrote the book in the 50's for the Air Force Academy. Anyway, I read a passage that stated that "specialists without military training" were admitted into the General Staff. Also, directly mentioned are members of the Corps of Engineers being brought into the General Staff. I am about 1/3 of the way through the book. I will post any further discoveries here. Here is something I found on Ebay.de. A death card for a Flight Engineer who was in the General Staff!!! This breaths a bit of life into my General Staff uniform with the Assessor name tag!
    3. Brian Davis has the use of this rank in Vol 1 of his book. I think that it was used for a very short amount of time, prewar.
    4. Also, if the military or civil ones were different in anyway... I really like that they seem to legitimately belong together, by the wear on the ribbons. Thanks Ed!! I really like the Soviet Medal style and mount! Paul
    5. I have no idea on whether or not this is a Civil or Military set. Maybe there are some members here that are better versed in Bulgarian medals? I got a lot for 20 dollars in Columbia... My wife did not like that story too much either(not married at that time!)! lol.
    6. That is one great photo. Thank you for sharing. The only way to Identify a medical General would be the medical insignia cypher on the shoulder boards.
    7. Those are completely awesome pieces. I really like the cream colored tunics the best. (they hide stains better )
    8. WOW Steve!! I think that you have cornered the market on this waffenfarbe!! I feel lucky to have a Pz.Pi Signals Blitz!!
    9. I would not have a problem seeing a filler piece like this in a collection. After all, the odds are 0.00% of getting a true issue piece into private hands.
    10. This beauty arrived today. Can anyone help with the ID? I am guessing that they are a Jubilee medals(based upon the dealers description). Still, for the price, one cant go wrong. I like the toning affect on the medals.
    11. Where are you guys finding all of these? How many pages are there?
    12. It is still a very nice representative example!! I like how well the eagle is preserved. I am not a helmet collector at all, but I have always admired these pieces. Can you please post a photo of the inside?
    13. Now that is one repro I would love to have in my collection!! I am scared to see what these are going for these days.
    14. This is awesome ground breaking stuff!!! I can hardly wait to see if my guy is in there?!!? I cannot wait to see the listing of General Staff Officers. Are Beamte covered as well?
    15. Now that is the most junior ranked pilot I have seen! WOW! Great set of photos, Jon. What is the badge under the pilots badge?
    16. That is very interesting. Perhaps these are to some sort of foreign contingent?
    17. Hello, I found these boards for a very reasonable price. No one seems to know what they are. The construction seems to be TR period to me. Anyone have any suggestions? The braid is dark blue and the underlay is dark green. Any suggestions are appreciated. Regards Paul
