    1. Normally you see this setup with the EL as suspension on full size Jubilee crosses from around 1900. I've never seen a mini like this, nor have I seen one with maker marks.
    2. These come up from time to time, sometimes with more than one silver content mark. I think they are period private purchase pieces and are of high quality.
    3. I agree, it's an unusual combo, I would guess to a Hauptmann or Major. Daniel, where are you?
    4. That is a minty one. I generally avoid bars with III. Reich awards, but this one is cool.
    5. Nice one Scott, and in great condition. Finding bars with this particular award is getting more difficult by the day.
    6. The case is certainly old, but it didn't start life as an EK one.
    7. Not the usual sort of case I would expect for an EK2. These normally didn't open from the side, didn't have a facsimile on the lid and usually have an inlet in the bed for the cross. And the colours, both inside and outside, are strange.
    8. It looks fine to me as well, with the typical Oese characteristics. It would be nice if the ribbon was genuine.
    9. Yes, the EK was awarded on the war ribbon for home service and merit not necessarily at the front.
    10. Very interesting indeed, I'm always interested in recipients of the Wilhelm-Ernst War Cross.
    11. Scott, I believe the Bulgarian is a 5th class, which would be right for an NCO's bar. Normally you see the Bravery Cross on these bars. Award numbers are unknown, but high.
    12. Great Nachlass Schwarzwald. I also have the Schnalle of an NCO recipient from 1870, Michael Marbacher. I believe there were 14 such awards.
    13. Quite right, I tend to hold my 'Schnauze' unless I'm fairly confident about my opinion.
    14. Another classic example of this faker's work. These 1870 bars have been all over fleabay the last few years. And the fakers are starting to produce the common medals now.
