    1. Hi Charles, I am fairly sure the bar belonged to Major Hermann Müller-Brand, Adjutant of the Bavarian Crown Prince. He was much more decorated, his final Medal Bar had 20 awards. There are some more shorter and longer ribbon bars from him at the market. I think some of the shorter ones are either earlier ones or he did wear some shorter bars with selected awards for whatever "fashion" or personal reasons. Lots of greetings Daniel
    2. Hi Charles, nice one! I am sure I habe already Seen it and I habe a Name. At the moment I am not at home, will come back soon :-) Greetings Daniel
    3. Hello, as far as I know he was recipient of the EK2, Reuss Honor Cross 3rd class with swords, White Falcon knight 2nd class with swords and the Austrian Military Merit Cross with war decoration. Lots of greetings Daniel
    4. Hi, that is a very nice but "everything is possible" bar, most likely made around 1912 - as the Colonial Medal was awarded. Enlisted men and lover ranking officials like this one do not appear in Ranklists or Court and State handbooks. It might be that everything is legit, it might as well be, that the portugese Avis Order does not belong there. The key is, as Karsten already mentioned, the Avis. IF he was a long time Colonial Solder or Official, there might be a chance that the award of the Avis Order is mentioned in the Kolonialverordnungsblatt (Colonial Gazette). I know there are Portugese Orders listings from the Republic onwards, but I have never seen Award rolls from the Royal time. Lots of greetings Daniel
    5. Hi Christer, it is a 2nd class. The 1st class crosses are much bigger. Greetings Daniel
    6. @ Ulsterman - the Meiningen awards of the Ernestinian House Order with sowrd in WW1 and the cross for Merit in War are included in our volume of all 3 Ernestinian Duchies. @ Christer - as you did already a GREAT JOB with the Order of the Sword of Sweden I can´t wait to see your work about the Cross of Liberty!!!! @all - there is not so much to type at the moment from my side - unless Dave Danner needs help!!! I am im the last work to finish Mecklenburg Strelitz and the both Lippe´s for printing. Württemberg and Prussias Hohenzollern and all the other projects go on but still need time. If anyone wants to assist, keep youe eyes open on interesting groups, pictures, whatever additions to improve the existing information. lots of greetings Daniel
    7. fine! Bit odd combo with some mistakes but legit. Identification - possible but not easy. Greetings Daniel
    8. Hi Paul, Rick told me: 1. The Olympic is a higher class Kleindekoration 2. They did. At least a lot of them. 3. Yes. Greetings Daniel
    9. Hi Joe, the middle pic - with the Dannebrog at the end - belonged to Oberzahlmeister Adolph Bulle from FAR 27. Interesting to see his non-regular wear of 2 Prussian long service awards. Bulle held originally a old style brooch 2nd class for 15 years, which he improperly replaced by a M1913 1st class for 15 years. He got the Officers 25 years cross after WW1. Viele Grüße Daniel
    10. @Chris - thanks a lot!!! @Trevor - nice pair!!! The Wagner is a golden one? Quite rare!!! Lots of greetings Daniel
    11. Hi Claudio, Mackensen did NOT get an EK1. It is nice to read in the recent bbography of GFM v.Mackensen, that his son was more or less the whole war the ADC of Prince AuWi and was not involved in "real" fighting. Lots of greetings Daniel
    12. Hi, why to stop at 1000? Try to get as much as you can! I would check: - Kriegsrangliste der Intendanturbeamten - Siekmann 1917 - Staatshandbuch Preussen 1918 - Handbuch für das Deutsche Reich 1918 - Preuß. Militärwochenblatt and Staatsanzeiger - Sächs., Bay., Württ. Personalnachrichten most of the sources are available. Feel free to contact me. Viele Grüße Daniel
    13. Nice set! Congratulations! The Leopold with war decoration was not given to everybody! :-) Lots of greetings Daniel
    14. Hi Claudio, nice one!!! Congratulations! I did the ID for this bar to one of the previous owners a couple of years ago - now it came nameless to the market again... At least I am happy the it found a new good home! :-) lots of greetings Daniel
    15. Hi Alan, niiice one!!! Based on the Italian Crown at the end - which represents a Commander grade neck cross, I would say at Colonels level. All 3 flower campaign ribbons is already quite unusual. I would guess, he might have made Police General so somebody who has the Biblio series on Police Generals might be able to have a look... Lots of greetings Daniel
    16. Otto, born 1872, entered service 1889, Intendantursekretär 1899 WW1 service in the 5rd KD and later Vorstand Feldintendantur Mil. Eisenbahndirektion 11 Was 1929 Verwaltungsamtmann beim Verwaltungszweigamt Breslau Source: Kriegsrangliste der Intendanturbeamten Viele Grüße Daniel
    17. Hi Chris, quite uncommon. Hamburg and Hessen were spread quite around in the whole Army. The Schaumburg cross is something else. Viele Grüße Daniel
    18. I would guess the white ribbon is an Ölberg cross. No medic, most likely a well situated nobleman who contributet with money and efforts to the church and the red cross. Lots of greetings Daniel
    19. Nice one!!! I can add the "usual" EK1 for him and a Johanniter knight :-) lots of greetings Daniel
