Rick, I am sorry to hear that your work was stolen. I have written 3 articles and would be furious if they were stolen. I'll not bother you or make further attempts to see it. It's a shame as I would have learned a lot from you. Doc
I'm not well educated in the Imperial arena. However, That "ribbon Bar" is made in the fashion of a medal bar. I think this one is missing the medals. Please correct me, with facts, if I'm wrong. Doc
Christian, The ONLY way this is going to be resolved is to get the research. Nothing short of the research documents will tell the story. You and Slava can go at each other untill the end of time. That's not going to solve this. PLEASE, GET IT RESEARCHED!!![/b] Doc
Christian, Dave has a VERY GOOD Point!! I would have this one well researched, if for no other reason than your own peace of mind. I feel that it's a clerical error, but that's just my opinion not proof. Doc
A clerical error...possible. One would think that something as important as awarding the 1st class for a full Cavalier of the OoG would be more carefully recorded. Let me re-read this entire thread and my other resources before I give my final opinion. Doc
Greg, You do have the Order of Bravery, 3rd Class. The 2nd Class is larger and has a Bronze Star on the ribbon. The 1st Class is even larger than the 2nd Class and has a gold leaf on the ribbon. Doc
I have to agree 100% Dutch Boy!!! Without the documents it is not yet possible to research the recipient. I, too, am disgusted with robberies such as this poor gentleman!!! As I know the sources of the Mongolian ODMs in my collection I know that they were obtained legally by sale. Welcome to the forum!!! Just remember that we are all Gentlemen here and do not cast such a wide net of "you are Guilty" over the general membership of this forum. Doc
