And a single Bavarian MSO. The full size award is rare. This is the only mini I've seen.

... speaking about Bavaria. I have had this miniature for some time. Stricktly speaking I'd say it's a large miniature, 24 mm from tip to tip top-down or across, also larger than normal miniatures but too small to be a "prinzen". The interesting thing is the Hemmerle backplate. I'm not 100% sure about the use, have anybody seen a similar miniature? Any comments about this will be appreciated.

Another set - This one with the matching ribbon bar. The detail on the White Falcon mini. is amazing.

Ahhhh, hadn't been keeping up with this thread. Beau's wonderful SET :jumping::jumping::jumping: will very probably turn out to be traceable once Bernd has completed the BMV4X Roll. That is a VERY strange pairing of Orders-- enough, I think, when we have the complete Bavarian list to make a positive ID as a PAIR with no OTHER awards.

The Mecklenburg-Schwerin flyer's group is extraordinary. Note that the outfitter had minis specifically assigned as 1st (smooth backed) and 2nd (reverse details) Class EKs and MMVs. It would have been of no consequence whatsoever if all 4 crosses were the same, since many minis had plain packs, but even positioning here indicates INTENT to mark pinback from ribboned awards. Such minute attention to TINY detail is noteworthy.

Schwerin's rolls are being worked on by seeheld, so when those are complete, again this should be an attributable group. The make-no-mistake double flying badge minis while non-regulation certainly let us know which version of flyer he was before retiring with his "old flyers" badge!

    An excellent point Rick.

The detail of the reverse of miniatures too often goes unappreciated. After all, minis - who is ever going to see

the reverse? Who cares? They could have been left plain and it is very unlikely that anyone would know the difference.

Here we have a mini of the Nassau silver medal for Arts and Science from 1860 - 1866 of which seventeen full size

    medals were awarded.

    Hello Kong,

I am surprised that no one has remarked on the Red Eagle medal ribbon on this bar. The medal itself being the silver version,

2nd form, which was awarded from 1871 - 1908 is rare enough; but I have a feeling that the ones awarded on the ?Band f?r

    die Stabswache? are particularly so.

Any views or opinions on this?

    Best wishes,

    Wild Card
