Motorhead
When dreams come true....this little beauty dropped in today-one of these wonderful iron crosses with blued sheetmetal core!I can't remember how long I was searching for one of them-the last one at ebay was bought by a guy named "Funkjoker"-wasted time to bid against him......Anyway,here it is-rare as Hens teeth, unfortunately with a little rust but good enough to keep it in my collection! For me a highlight this year!Micha

Scott
Nice cross. What equivalent of silver does the 'silber' mark represent? 800? 935? Other? Thanks. Scott
Motorhead
When I remember right they stamped "Silber" when the silver content wasn't high enough to stamp it with the "real" silver markings. That is what I've been told.......Micha
joe campbell
i, too, have only heard the explanationthat Mocha states.joe
Paul R
that Mocha states.joeMocha... I could do with one of those right now. Seriously, I have not seen that mark before. Great find!
Rod
I have been told that the "silber" marking indicates the EK was made in Bavaria. I have no idea if this is true or not. I bought the EK from a dealer who presents extremely lenghty descriptions that I have come to believe it is all hot air.Rod
militaria0815
When the silver content was less then 800/1000.
Motorhead
So is the "Silber"stamping a german thing? In another thread we had someone who said the EKs with the blued sheetmetal core where made by Rothe&Neffe?Micha
