    Rick Research,

I do not think that the importance of this work can be over estimated.

What it means to the future of Imperial German awards research is of

    the highest rank.

With help from George Seymour and Neal O?Connor, Eric managed to

gather and reconstruct information that over a period of almost one

hundred had been scattered in so many directions. Even in the best

of times, all of it was never to be found in any single place. I especially

appreciate your recognition of the work (hours) and sacrifice demanded

by this project; but then, who could calculate and understand this better

    than you?

I want to thank you, Paul Chepurko and all others who are making Eric?s

    dream come true.

I suspect that this book will be in demand by advanced Imperial German

collectors for many years to come. Please put me down for two copies.

    Thank you.

    Wild Card

    P.S. Fantastic cover.

Progress Report - The text of the book is complete and ready for the printer. It is a total of 242 pages of data and 4 additional pages. The cover file will be done next week and then off to the printer. I will have the price and shipping charges when I get the proof copy. We are on target for mid-June.

Only spaced out on the pages wider. :cheeky:

Werner Nickel, the Eric Ludvigsen of Germany!

How many years have you been doing that when it's been done and nobody knew about it?

    Rick, Paul,

Please put me down for one copy to be sent to the UK.

It's just fantastic that Eric's work is going to be put into print for the present collectors of Imperial and more importantly those that will follow. Such dedication and research should never be lost. A fitting memorial to Eric's work.

Progress Report - The files are on the way to the printer and I should have 50 copies by the end of June or sooner. When I receive the proof copy I will be able to calculate postage for the US and Germany. The book will not be expensive!!! As I have printed ONLY 50 COPIES I will probable be taking early orders and payment.

I recently perused the originals at length.... fascinating stuff. The epitome of a "Lifetime Opus"..... Thanks to all involved, especially Eric's family and dear friends. Also thanks to Rick & Paul for their dedication to common knowledge.

Yes-- even though the Lundstr?m/Krause Lippe rolls will list everybody, what Eric did working out average age at bestowal and so on is looking at things from other directions-- and as with all of HIS work will save us TIME.
