Wild Card Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Rick Research,I do not think that the importance of this work can be over estimated. What it means to the future of Imperial German awards research is of the highest rank. With help from George Seymour and Neal O?Connor, Eric managed to gather and reconstruct information that over a period of almost one hundred had been scattered in so many directions. Even in the best of times, all of it was never to be found in any single place. I especially appreciate your recognition of the work (hours) and sacrifice demanded by this project; but then, who could calculate and understand this better than you? I want to thank you, Paul Chepurko and all others who are making Eric?s dream come true.I suspect that this book will be in demand by advanced Imperial German collectors for many years to come. Please put me down for two copies. Thank you.Wild CardP.S. Fantastic cover.

Guest Rick Research Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 How many should Paul send to Europe? (I've got Daniel and Christophe for personal inscriptions...)

Numbers folk should be happy... names folk should be happy at having places to search dramatically focussed.
Guest Rick Research Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Only spaced out on the pages wider. Werner Nickel, the Eric Ludvigsen of Germany! How many years have you been doing that when it's been done and nobody knew about it?
Stogieman Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Nice pictures.... wonder where those came from....
Mike Huxley Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Rick, Paul,Please put me down for one copy to be sent to the UK.It's just fantastic that Eric's work is going to be put into print for the present collectors of Imperial and more importantly those that will follow. Such dedication and research should never be lost. A fitting memorial to Eric's work.Mike
Paul C Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 Progress Report - The files are on the way to the printer and I should have 50 copies by the end of June or sooner. Solomon Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 One copy here...The statistic figures of the Lippe awards would be quite interesting to have...andcombining it with the names of the Lippe rolls makes everything perfect Best regardsRoman
Guest Rick Research Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Yes-- even though the Lundstr?m/Krause Lippe rolls will list everybody, what Eric did working out average age at bestowal and so on is looking at things from other directions-- and as with all of HIS work will save us TIME.
