Solomon Posted December 23, 2023 Author Posted December 23, 2023 Let´s continue with some uncased single items... Long service bar for 10 years ( 92 awards between 1857 and 1867 ) and the long service cross for 25 years (I´m still looking for the clasp for 20 years). The cross was awarded only 14 times! 1
Solomon Posted December 23, 2023 Author Posted December 23, 2023 Lippe-Detmold "Medaille auf den erstrittenen Thronanspruch 1905" awarded by a female! 27 women out of 176 persons in total got this medal. 1
graham Posted December 23, 2023 Posted December 23, 2023 Spectacular collection Solomon, a wonder to behold. Thanks.
Solomon Posted December 23, 2023 Author Posted December 23, 2023 (edited) Another award for a female.... Miniature for the "Denkmünze zum Einzug des Grafregenten Ernst 1897" 1027 awards in total, 50 went to women... I think I haven´t show this nice fellow yet... War honour medal at the combatant ribbon (women-style!). Only around 60 females (nurses in a front lazareth) got this one. Edited December 23, 2023 by Solomon 1
Solomon Posted December 23, 2023 Author Posted December 23, 2023 As I only showed so far the silver merit medal of the Leopoldorder, I now will complete the set. Bronce merit medal of the Leopoldorder... ...and the golden merit medal of the Leopoldorden ( 84 awards only) This one was awarded by Werner Eichhorst, decorator in Detmold. Most probably he worked for the Prince in the castle, as this was his only Lippe award (surprisingly already the highest class). 1
Solomon Posted December 23, 2023 Author Posted December 23, 2023 A 3rd class of the houseorder is also missing....here is one, awarded by the priest Friedrich Lappe 😜 1
Solomon Posted December 23, 2023 Author Posted December 23, 2023 Here is another quite rare Lippe medal: Memorial medal 1866 Lippe-Detmold The medalbar with the golden and silver merit cross belongs to police officer Ignatz Hasse 1

Solomon Posted December 24, 2023 Author Posted December 24, 2023 (edited) Thank you Komtur for adding those pictures. I also have a picture of him, which I will add here (as a small break)... Von Eppstein is the 4th person from the left side, also wearing his cross for heroic deeds. And here is a very late award document for the cross for heroic deeds Lippe-Detmold, signed by Georg von Eppstein. Bernhard von Francois was the son of the famous General von Francois...I have (almost) all of his documents. Edited December 24, 2023 by Solomon
Solomon Posted December 24, 2023 Author Posted December 24, 2023 ...and another award document, also for Bernhard von Francois and signed by von Eppstein. It´s for the Lippe-Detmold houseorder 2nd class with swords (23 awards between 1914-1918), von Eppstein got this class earlier in October 1915 (and returned it in 1917 after awarding the 1st class with swords).
VtwinVince Posted December 24, 2023 Posted December 24, 2023 I find the Epstein material particularly interesting, as some of my relatives were deported to Theresienstadt at the same time from Koenigsberg, East Prussia.
Komtur Posted December 26, 2023 Posted December 26, 2023 (edited) August Riekehof-Böhmer Edited December 27, 2023 by Komtur 1

He is standing on the right side (first row). The picture was taken in 1914 (opening of the Landtag building in Detmold). Let´s continue with some medail- and ribbonbars... This one belongs to police officer Hermann Hufen from Rietberg (Prussia)...he got the silve merit medal as No. 1 (!) of the rolls on 25th Oct. 1888. This ribbon bar is really special...7 out of 9 awards are from Lippe-Detmold. Friedrich Multhaup (Fuerstlicher Bauverwalter) got: - Lippe war honour medal (non-combatant ribbon) - Lippe houseorder 4th class Div. B (and golden and silver merit cross, all have the same ribbon) - Lippe Leopoldorder owner´s cross (and Leopoldorder silver cross with the same ribbon) - Lippe houseorder golden and silver merit cross, both have the same ribbon - Prussia cross of the Allgemeines Ehrenzeichen - Prussia long service medal - Lippe veteran´s club cross - Lippe Medaille auf den Einzug des Grafregenten Ernst 1897 - Lippe Medaille zum erstrittenen Thronanspruch 1905
Solomon Posted December 26, 2023 Author Posted December 26, 2023 This ribbonbar is one of my favorite...belonging to Oldwig von Natzmer, Flügeladjudant of Prince Leopold IV. This ribbonbar is very "special", as I have also a picture of the famous person of the principal Lippe-Detmold, who was wearing it... But damn, I forgot to write down his name and the name of his 1st wife 😁😁😁 1

Stogieman Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 Another beautiful bar! What is the last medal?
Solomon Posted December 28, 2023 Author Posted December 28, 2023 (edited) Although I have already shown Friedrich Metze´s medalbar earlier, I also would like to present the complete group. 23 minutes ago, Stogieman said: Another beautiful bar!
