    1. Of course YOU don't think it was a waste of time Willi... it was not YOU that just spent over an hour of time attempting to answer a question YOU already knew the answer too? Not the least bit polite sir. Not in the least.
    2. Rather impressive bar Mark. Yes, I think a search through period photos will find WW1 era Turks wearing Frack Bars.....
    3. Beautiful bar and welcome to the forum. I would think MEZ1, or 2. The other possibility is RAO, but even if a 4.kl. it would still be in front of the POK. Note the construction technique gents... typical pre-1870 style for officers. Very nice!
    4. Kind of funny....... like the guy who sells the stripped medal bar, the loose ribbons, each medal.... all in different lots...
    5. And a rather "Over The Top Bar".... that's 54 bad bars in my archive from this one seller....
    6. That third piece is an (incorrectly mounted) Honor cross on the Bulgarian Commemorative WW1 Service Medal Ribbon
    7. A good quick reference point is that the Mayer cases for these seem to have almost entirely be done with the oblong push button catch. A very nice set Darrell
    8. NOW you know why he (Rick Research) is the REAL (Truly) Evil Twin?
    9. Which is exactly why I bought the lowest serial number I had seen yet! #88. Hoping to one day discover it was actually awarded!
    10. Huh, with all the '57 stuff I handled... I thought S&L were the only authorized makers......
    11. Interesting.... I had thought they were the same, but did not save the links ro the previous auctions. There's been not just multiple appearances of bad 'blocks' of bars, but legit WW2 bars destroyed by adding the fake bars. Sad, sad, sad.
    12. Yeah, me too. At $5285 USD !!!! Darn well better be real for whoever bought it. So then, how does one actually determine the value of s Piece of History like this. Medals & badges are one thing..... this is an entirely different realm... it would be like owning the Arch Duke's hat the day he was assasinated sparking WW1
    13. Ahhhh, your typical stolen photos scam... nice.
    14. The set has been re-listed again: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...A:IT&ih=018 The scary thing is, everytime he lists this it's about a ~$50 USD...... EACH time he re-lists! Now that's tenacity...
    15. A simple solution here is that the 1870/71 KDM & Bars does not belong here at all, nor does the BMVO4X... replace it with an MVK3 and put the correct Honor Cross Back, remove the incorrect battle bars.... and hey! A perfectly good medal bar! ;>)
    16. Did you guys notice that igor's site now has two (2) (!!) headingd for Mongolian items!??
    17. Nice group of badges. I have always found this to be the second most attractive of the KM badges. But very hard to find.....
    18. Hi Micha, is there anything you're actually missing still?? !!!!! Nice cross!
