South-West Afrika Campaign medal doc: China Campaign Medal Doc: and Jubilee Medal Doc: Service record That is it for now, most of the other stuff is a bit too blurry in the photos (I know I'm missing the 25 years and another service record (more official) plus 2 or 3 more promotion papers) but I'll try and post the other documents (yes there is more ) sometime this week when my vision clears up. I hope these ones aren't too blurry Thank you all for your expert opinions and comments :)

Recently picked this one up, asked a couple friends on the forum for advice on it and they said it was very cool It arrived today from the dealer and want to see if everyone approves/if it looks ok since there are a lot of documents. I think it looks great and hopefully you guys enjoy it too Major Karl Adolf Paul Koepke was a Deputy Chief Executive of the Train Depot of the XIV Army, he served in China as well as South Afrika, all medals come with award docs. So I'd like to double check with the Document collectors as well as the medal bar experts to see if everything lines up now that it is here "in the flesh" so to speak I'd love to research this group further if possible but I'd like to double check (while I still have the return policy available if something is off) If you guys need a zoom in on any documents or have any questions don't hesitate to post Thanks all for looking in. I might have to post a couple pictures since there are a lot of documents in the set and it is taking a bit to upload them all Really enjoy the group so far and hope you guys do too To start off the medal bar: left to right, 1. Iron Cross 2nd Class (1914, awarded in 1916), 2. Order of the Red Eagle 4th class (awarded in 1903),3. Baden War Merit Cross (awarded in 1916), 25 Year Service Cross (awarded 1906), German Southwest Afrika Medal (Non-combat issue awarded 1907) China Campaign Medal(non-combat issue awarded in 1901), Jubilee Medal (awarded in 1897) Reverse

Serbia Serbia - Photographs and postcards of Serbian soldiers
Rogi replied to SasaYU's topic in Southern European & Balkan States
The aircraft resembles a Hawker, not sure if its a modified Hawker Hind (Gnome Rhome k9 engine Variant) (closest resemblance to the photo atm with my bad vision We received 4, in 1931 and not sure what happened till the start of the war, but I believe some were still operational, I think the best guess will be the uniforms the men are wearing for a better time period -
Belgium medal groupe for evaluation....
Rogi replied to Stuka f's topic in Northern European & Baltic States
Sad to hear I dont understand why people do this, just to lazy to find a collector who wants to keep this group together and would rather ruin history for a couple euros -

Could you take a shot of the sides of this one, or is it a dealer piece?

Identification on what looks like ... handcuffs....?
Rogi replied to Stuka f's topic in Non Military Collectibles & Antiques
Looks really strange, almost like a slave collar, but it would be too small if it is those dimensions (maybe baby slave collar?). Very unusual piece, I'm sorry I can't suggest any more options. It would need some type of lock to suggest cuffs of some sort. -

As per our terms and posted on the public forum as requested, posted from my pm to Alpha, So to clarify if you(Alpha Draconis) send the package, you will cover the shipping of my choice, If I decide to keep the Sava, I will pay the shipping plus cost of Sava as previously talked about. If I decide not to buy, I will pay shipping only for the return of the Sava to go back to your home :)with the same type of shipping method (fastest option with tracking number) I will provide photos and detailed info. about it if I decide not to purchase. Shipping has to be fastest option and include tracking number. As per Alpha's request, I will keep everyone updated on the forum with photos and info Thank you again Alpha I hope I will be able to add this one to my collection and give some very nice photos :D

It looks like the last 4 was a 5 or something similar...but again, its hard to tell on these, I'd say that someone attempted a edit and wasn't so successful, later it was polished up with better sand paper to hide the abrasive attempt. The bottom right section of the star worries me too, it looks like someone sanded it with a dremel, yet forgot to fix it up. I am not prevalent on these variations too much, but is it possible that someone at the Mint edited this one ? (ie recipient died, the Order was handed back in to the Mint, and changed to new recipients serial?)

Who knows, maybe one Russian soldier visited Turkey etc and obtained this piece as a souvenir? Have you tried something like Belt buckle, it has a similar look.

US Navy Officer USS Helena, and Blimp pilot
Rogi replied to army historian's topic in United States of America
Fantastic grouping I love the addition that was written that they did their part to deter and sink U-boats great one -
As Radmilo and I mentioned, Obi's is most likley some type of Huguenin order either from the workshop itself or based out of the base piece. Your Sava has elements of Obi's and Piret's styles, since we only have a 3rd class to compare with we can't say for certain it is or isn't how a 4th or 5th is supposed to be, even when comparing the Icons to a Pirets, there is a difference in color and it isn't exact to the 3rd class's lines or colors. and lastly, If your hallmark and Obi's is the same then you have a potential problem, like I stated before, each producer's hallmark is different. Please re-read the post P.S. Each hallmark has a different letter, symbol, number etc depending on the maker

I'll have to pass this time, although it is a very interesting piece, I'd definatley want more photos (or a chance for me to look and touch it, and examine it by my microscope) I think there are only 3 possibilities to the piece, 1. All Original 2. Repaired Original piece/ Or Something else was used as a base for this one 3. Fake (always possible with anything I guess) In my opinion with the information that we have on hand, and lack of further photos I'd say that it was repaired sometime during its life or possibly that another producer's piece was used as a base (such as Obi's unkown producer and the similarities to Hugenin) when we compare it in detail with the example we have. If we had more information on this perticuler producer (even a 4th or 5th) example to compare and better photos that show the quality it would be much easier for me to make a agreement. Other than me touching and inspecting the piece with my microscope, there is really no way to complete a sale, in this case, unless in the future new and better quality pictures arrive. Although you don't collect St. Savas I would encourage you to start doing it and research this piece further, I think it is a very nice addition to a St. Sava collection (or start to the collection) and would definatley recommend buying a better camera or borrowing one and taking some photos If you can take a photo of that hallmark and it turns out to be Piret's then it is a great sign , each manufacturer has their own hallmark and although there are similar positions on some St. Savas you need the proper producer for a specific piece Although it shows damage it gives it a certain "patina" to some collectors. As for other countries, do you collect Croatia?
