    1. This one has a few holes, but is by far the most comprehensively illustrated and concise publication out there. That being said, again, there are some missing things. It is a definite "must have".
    2. With the power that he had, one would think that he would have advanced himself to GFM or something. I bet that it would have been awkward to have been a General under him, in uniform. Here are some images of him before he lost his mind and botoxed the hell out of his face. He must have been a genius before his pathology kicked in.
    3. I am surprised to hear that it is a common medal. How many people participated?
    4. Those are some great images. It is easy to see how these men would be confused as members of the SS by the average Allied Private, and then shot.
    5. There are some really cool looking "rank" insignia around, but they are pricey, in DDR terms.
    6. Very nice Chris. I like the synthetic stock set up. I was surprised to see this rifle still in governmental use.
    7. Wow. That is a really cool and complete group. I would love to have something like this one day. Great find.
    8. Thanks for that Hugh. I looked on line for about an hour and could not find anything, but then again, I was going by the description of the medal. It does not show up on any of the Thai ribbon/medal charts that I found.
    9. The pattern of the ribbon and metal type remind me of Indonesian medals
    10. It is a beautiful medal. I think that there will be a few WW2 vets still around in ten years, although the numbers will be slim. I hope that they come out with something really special for that one.
    11. I have never seen that badge before, that this does not mean much. I am sorry that I am not much help here.
    12. UV Light test is sort of meaningless, as there have been period things that glow. Phosphates have been around for a long time, even before ww2. The only thing that worries me is the the attachment of the collar tabs. I would like to see the front of the collar tabs. Something strikes me as odd about the thread used to attach them to the tunic. It could be OK, but I want to see more images before I am happy with the set. The eagle looks 100% wartime applied.
    13. That would have been a lot of post ww2 action. I do like how it is constructed. Can we please see the rest of the uniform?
    14. I was thinking the same thing. Obergrefeiter is a really low rank for the service he was doing. I would have thought that with his age and skill set that he would have been an Admin Service or Sonderfuhrer.
    15. The only thing that bothers me about this bar is the lack of Camapaign medals(Afghan or Post WW2) or WW2 Victory Medals. I am assuming that the ribbon bar is supposed to be post ww2 service, as if the person would have been awarded CSM, ORS, and etc for long service, instead of the Long Service Medals, which came out long after WW2. What rank is the officer? Was the Order of Alexander Nevsky awarded after WW2?
    16. Great photo. As stated, his rank title is unknown without knowing his career specialty or the color of the center layer between the shoulder board. I love Luftwaffe beamte. Is there anything written on the back of the photo?
    17. He will have a few more coming up very soon.
