    1. I like the latter as well. 28000 dollars for that first hat is crazy...
    2. My God Chris. I had no idea that you had so many amazing items! I am scared to think what you sold that one for. Is it named?
    3. How long ago did you sell this beauty? Did it come with the medals? I still kick myself for not buying that DKiG grouping, with the lifesaving medal. How did you get the name for the tunic's owner?
    4. Here are a set of TSD Judicial tabs. These come from the same source as the Sonderfuhrer tunic. The TSD Officers were once Administrative officers. Due to a shorage of commissed officers in the Luftwaffe in the last months of the war, the High Command wanted to augment certain Administrative Beamte into the regular Luftwaffe. Among these officers were paymasters, personnel officials, attorneys, and courts martial judges.
    5. This one is stamped to the 3. Funkpeil-und-Leuchtfeuer Kompany. From what I could find, it was renamed the 3./Luftnachrichen Regiment ObdL. Possibly a communications related specialty. The other NCO Sonderfuhrer tunic I have is stamped to a fighter squadron.
    6. This tunic was found(not by me) at an estate sale a couple of months ago. It came complete with the SA Sports Badge in Bronze. It is on the way. I am so happy to be the owner of a THIRD such tunic. The only three I know of!! May there be more!
    7. Very interesting... I never knew that awards were issued in this manner. So in WW2, it was still possible for men to receive double recognition if they were assigned to different branches(Army and Navy) of service(Army working with the Marines) and etc. Have there ever been any recipients of the Navy Cross and DSC in this manner?
    8. It resembles the Reichsfuhrer shoulder board, but of course the emblem is different(three leaves joined at the base)... Were there any other branches of service or government that used the SS style boards?
    9. I am happy to see your grandfather's medals. What is the clasp?
    10. The uniform is for sale at Relichunter.com http://www.relichunter.com/kmwhtadmin1.jpg I have never seen a high necked KM tunic before.
    11. One of the most beautiful WW1 Noncombattant Bar I have ever seen. I am in complete lust. Thank you for sharing it. I hope that you are able to get a name.
    12. Cool idea Chris. Are all of these ribbons readily available?
    13. Very interesting. Do you think that it could be some sort of membership medal?
    14. He served with the 79th JR as an Uffz and Feldwebel, before his transfer to the 236th JR.
