    1. Agree... there is no "Honor" in cheating. He should lose that medal.
    2. Please delete my comment if you want the presentation to be unbroken with comments, but WOW. Seldom do we see such presentations. I look forward to the next part. Thank you for taking the time to present this story.
    3. Hi Auke, What serial range number would you say covered the first two years of the war, for the ORB? Paul
    4. What a great collection. I really like the ORBLs a lot. They are among the more beautiful awards, I think.
    5. This is the first time where I have seen the Germans doing the line crossing ritual. That is beyond cool.
    6. Thanks for sharing these with us. It is ironic how closely the Honor Medal resembles the US's Medal of Honor.
    7. Those are really attractive. How much time would one have to do in these areas to qualify for the medals?
    8. I hear you brother! I have recently purchased this book and am only now starting to see all of its applications.
    9. That is an awesome citation. Are the naval archives found in the same archive as the regular Army? I have quite a few groupings, but not a single naval set!
    10. Yes I hear you, but the odds are good that(depending upon the number range) ORS and ORB are simple long service medals. That is a bummer after dropping the cash for research. I have a really cool ORB2 that I had research paid on. I was bummed when it came back as a LS award...
    11. I think that the biggest bang for the buck comes from either the OG or a Bravery Medal. None of these were awarded for long service and are awarded for such diverse things.... from being great cooks all the way to leading a vangard through enemy lines! Plus, these awards are plentiful and not so expensive. Research is the same, regardless of the award, right?

      Malawi Medals

Is Banda still in office? It is interesting how he seems to physically age on his portraits on the more recent medals.
    13. This is what makes the Soviet Medals and Orders so facinating; the ability to bring a story and an unique life to an otherwise inanimate object.
    14. This is the first such wehrpass I have seen. Thank you for posting this great research.
    15. That is a great star and citation... it looks like it survived a fire.
    16. Super cool award. Most of the time you can get some really special citations with the OGPW. Always worth the research.
    17. How to polish a turd? I asked my wife that and she said to stick it into a rock tumbler and let it roll! You could probably do the same with this cross?
    18. Yes! Group photos of each branch? It would be cool to see the different variations from each branch next to one another for comparison! Just a thought.
