Need help with this medal bar, which I believe is from the 1905 war. Can anyone help with the maker of the St. George Cross? Note the number stamped at the eyelet. Also, this is not my area of collecting, so if someone could give me a rough idea on value, it would be appreciated.

Nice photo. He's got what looks like a Lippe house order in second spot or possibly a Reuss Honor Cross, and an Italian Crown Order at the end.

Holy crap, that is one spectacular Abzeichen, congratulations. I know how rare the real engraved ones are. I've only ever had one, a Bavarian pilot from Johann Schroth which is sadly long gone. Great piece, thanks for showing it.

Great stuff for auction, and of course it's being offered in Germany, where collectors know the material and will pay good prices. I just wish I wasn't completely broke right now.

I've seen a couple of bars which use the narrow gauge ribbon, and I've seen at least one with that type of backing.
