    1. Excellent, another mystery solved. It goes to show that even the weirdest Imperial bar has a chance of being correct.
    2. I have a Komturkreuz from Scharffenberg, but it is in the bank, so unfortunately no photos for now.
    3. Nice and not too common award, Alex. Probably not worth spending a lot of money restoring, but it would still make a good filler for a missing item on a bar.
    4. John, those are really great items, you don't often see logbooks from the first war. My uncle was also a first war aviator, and I am fortunate to have his mementos.
    5. I saw this one over at the Gemeinschaft, a truly outstanding example of a Hoflackei schnalle.
    6. Nice Kette, I think the medal is from the Siedlungsverband Kurland, a scarce award.
    7. It's a pretty bizarre, but not impossible combination. Weird with the Hannoverian regimental on the end. But I've seen stranger things before.
    8. I don't know much about it, and this is the first example I've seen. It corresponds to the usual Prussian vet's cross, but the arms of the cross aren't enamel, and it is specifically for care of wounded and for war aid.
    9. Here's one I've never seen before, the Red Cross version of the Prussian vet's cross.
    10. Hey Westfale, just how scarce are the long service pendants? I have one on a bar, but that's the only mounted one I've ever seen.
    11. Excellent feldspange, Christophe. With a name like that, he must have been Jewish, or? It would have been funny if the second part of his name was 'Honig'.
