Mattyboy
The Lt dR Bodo Schmidt on page 36 of this thread is probably the man listed in the MWB dated 20.10.1917. His name appears in the Saale Zeitung on this very date. He also appears on the 06.11.1917 publication, along with a new first name - Lt dR Franz Weise (MWB 03.11.1917).
Mattyboy
Hi All, Not sure if this man had the Princely or HOH3x (or both?) - Lt dR Oskar Noth from 2 GRzF. Both articles are from the Hallische Nachrichten. One is dated 27.07.1918 and the other is 24.09.1918.

Your Gerhard is Heinrich Ludwig Adolf Gerhard (born 6. August 1881 in Harburg), his father was Generalleutnant z. D. Friedrich Otto Ferdinand Freiherr von Ledebur (1848--1916). Do you happen to know in which regiment he served during the war? Since 18 August 1899 I have him as Sekondeleutnant in the Westfälisches Jäger-Bataillon Nr. 7. But with the Rangliste 1902 he had moved to the reserves. Edited January 20, 2022 by Deutschritter
Mattyboy
The Oblt dR Jacobsen (MWB 17.07.1917) is Emil from IR 173. His EK1 was announced in the General-Anzeiger für Halle dated 16.07.1915. His HOH3x appeared in the Saale-Zeitung on 31.07.1917.

Mattyboy
Hptm Jacobsen (MWB 12.06.1917) is Georg Robert Paul (17.06.1885) son of Prof Dr Johannes & Pauline Jacobsen. From the Saale Zeitung dated 19.06.1917. Later Major aD. I'm not sure of his pre-war regiment, but it might have been FAR 71. His father died serving with LIR 28 in 1915.

Dave Danner
Paul Jacobsen, born 17.6.1885, is the FAR 71 officer. The 1935 FAR 71 Mitgliederliste has him as a Kaufmann and Major a.D. in Berlin. He's still a Major a.D. in the 1943 Berlin Adreßbuch.
