It's not Hans Hasse. His known decorations are:

    30.09.1914 EK2
    27.07.1915 EK1

    18.01.1917 ÖL3K
    24.11.1916 BMV4X

He entered the army on 1.4.1897, so no Centenary Medal.

    Thank you, Dave!

The Lt.d.R. Fiebelkorn from Armee-Flugpark 7 whose HOH3X was awarded by AKO on 1.11.1918 and recorded by the Abteilung IIa of AOK 7 is almost certainly Eduard Kurt Georg Fiebelkorn, *7.4.1894 in Berlin.

His EK1 was also recorded by the Abteilung IIa of AOK 7 in its "25. Nachweisung über verliehene Eiserne Kreuze 1. und 2. Klasse" for the period 1.8.17-31.8.17.  At the time, he was a Lt.d.R. (Charlottenburg) of Pionier-Bataillon Nr. 10, commanded to Flieger-Abteilung (Artillerie) Nr. 260. I've no idea if he was a Flugzeugführer or Beobachter.

The Militär-Wochenblatt gives his commissioning date as 27.1.16 and Meldeamt as "(V Berlin)", so the Meldeamt either changed or one of sources made a mistake.

Johannes Beissel was commissioned in RIR 206 and killed with RIR 93. The Hanseatenkreuz is probably Hamburg.

The Rosenbaum from PB 4 was Franz:

    28.09.14-02.02.15 Zugführer 3. Feldkomp. PB 4

In the VL, there are several mentions of a Lt dR Paul Rosenbaum, born 13.4.1895 in Aachen. At one point (1919), he was in IR 57, heavily wounded. Not sure if this might be the one.

The Aachen-born Paul Rosenbaum received the HOH3X on 7.7.1918 while in IR 57. Based on the date of the Essener Volkszeitung, that's him.

The Rosenbaum from IR 13 received the HOH3X on 16.5.1918. 30.11.16 Leutnant d.R. (Hagen) des IR 13, Führer 1./IR 13.

He might be Josef, *25.6.1893 in Mayen, Coblenz, but I cannot say for certain.

Speaking of Reinholds, the HOH3X recipient from RIR 27 was the later Generalmajor Reinhold Dahlmann, not Luftwaffe Generalleutnant Hermann Dahlmann. Reinhold was Regimentsadjutant of RIR 27 from 1916-17 and Brigadeadjutant of the 108. Infanterie-Brigade thereafter. Known decorations for Reinhold are:

    xx.xx.14 EK2
    28.09.15 EK1
    09.06.17 HOH3X
    xx.xx.1x MMV2
    06.05.18 MMV1
    xx.xx.3x Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer
02.10.36 Wehrmacht (Heer) Dienstauszeichnung 4. bis 1. Klasse

The MMV2 was likely in 1917 or 1918, after he was Adjutant of the 108.IB, since RIR 90 was also in the brigade. It wasn't gazetted in the Mecklenburg-Schwerin Regierungsblatt, which stopped publishing awards in September 1917. Mecklenburg-Schwerin sometimes awarded both classes at the same time, so it might be the same date as the MMV1.

    As for Hermann Dahlmann: Leutnant im IR 82, FA A 252, Jasta 29, Oberleutnant JG 3, 1920-33 Polizei, 1933-39 Wehrmacht-Beamter im RLM, ab 1939 Luftwaffe-Offizier. Decorations: EK2 (11.9.14), EK1 (20.6.17), Ehrenbecher (16.6.17), FlugzgFhr (1.10.16), FlgrErinn (1.4.19), FEK (1935), WLDA2 (2.1.37), ÖKEM (1935), UKEM (1935), ErinnBand Jasta Boelcke (1935), FlugzgFhr (1935), Sudeten (2.10.39), KVK2X (13.11.40)

May I ask, when you write WsM do you mean the Silberne Verdienstmedaille 1892 sometimes abbreviated WsVM? Thanks!

Major Sellier from FußAR 1 and the Oberkommando der Heeresgruppe Deutscher Kronprinz was Louis August Numa (not Suma), *14.6.1872 in Jena, †27.10.1945 in Biesenthal, Barnim.

Besides his known wartime awards, he received the RAO4 in the Ordensfest 1914. A Hauptmann in FußAR 1, commanded to the Großer Generalstab, he was placed zur Disposition in early 1914 and was sent as part of the German military mission to Bolivia in mid-1914. On returning to Germany, he was given the Charakter of Major z.D. on 27.1.15 and then reactivated as a Major on 3.3.15. He was discharged in 1919 and given the Charakter of Oberstleutnant a.D.

His son Manfred Sellier (2.12.1898-23.1.1968) was a Leutnant in FußAR 5, commanded to the Fliegertruppe and twice wounded. He was an Oberstleutnant in the Luftwaffe. He received the MMV1 in 1918 as a Leutnant in FA A 245. His Wikipedia bio says he also had the EK1. Other than the WLDA4, I've no idea what Wehrmacht decorations he might have added.

Krüger from FAR 43 was Martin, here is his death notice from 1941 (good that they included his regiment!):

This first name was a tricky one: Lt dR (PB 328) August Böger from Lütgendortmund. The notice in Dortmunder Zeitung, 20.8.1918, makes him Oberpostassistent "Vöger" in Lütgendortmund, though without first name. But the address book Dortmund 1925/26 lists him with full name in Lütgendortmund, as Postassessor.

Adam Kaus, Hptm dR, died as Major and Kdr of a Luftwaffenbaubataillon in 1941.

    Westfälische Landeszeitung Castrop-Rauxel, 26.11.1941

This is an interesting case, since no Luftwaffe connection was recognizable so far, at least not for me. Do we know anything more about his other awards?

Pense is Dipl.-Ing. Franz Paul, born on 19.5.1892 in Bitterfeld. He was in Sturmbataillon Rohr.

Adam Kaus was born on 1.10.1880 in Darmstadt and died on 8.11.1941 in Luftwaffenlazarett Bukarest. He commanded Luftwaffen-Baubataillon 17/IV and died of a diabetic coma. Other known awards are the Landwehr-Dienstauszeichnung 2. Klasse (LD2), Hessisches Allgemeines Ehrezeichen "Für Tapferkeit" (HT), k.u.k. Österreich-Ungarisches Militärverdienstkreuz 3. Klasse mit der Kriegsdekoration 3. Klasse (ÖM3K), and Verwundetenabzeichen in schwarz. As a native of Hessen serving most of the war in Hessian regiments (IR 168 and RIR 254) and recipient of the HOH3X and EK1, he also no doubt had the Kriegerehrenzeichen in Eisen. His HOH3X came on 30.8.1918 while in RIR 252, a Thuringian regiment, but he has not shown up in any of the known Thuringian state award rolls. There's a picture of him in the RIR 254 history, but it's a group photo and there's not much detail.

For some reason I thought I had already posted this, but a search gives no results.

The Major d.R. Cleve who received the HOH3X on 12.5.1918 was Richard, born 20.6.1869 in Loischwitz, Oels. He was a Distriktskommissar in Crone an der Brahe and a reserve officer of IR 51.

    - 14.9.1889 in das Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 51 eingetreten

    - 18.1.1891 Sekondelieutenant

    - 12.9.1894 zu den Reserve-Offizieren des Regiments übergeführt

    - 16.12.1899 Oberleutnant der Reserve

    - 20.7.1907 Hauptmann der Reserve

    - xx.xx.191x Kommandeur des 3. Westfälischen Landwehr-Infanterie-Bataillons Breslau

    - 22.5.1915 Charakter als Major der Reserve, z.Zt. Kommandeur des zusammengesetzten Ersatz-Bataillons 11/51

The combined Ers.Btl. 11/51 was the II. Bataillon of Landwehr-Ersatz-Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 8 (LEIR 8). LEIR 8 later became IR 353 of the 88. Infanterie-Division. Also in that division was LEIR 9/IR 354, which had a Saxon bataillon (from Landwehr-Brigade-Ersatz-Bataillon Nr. 48). Cleve was apparently commanded to that regiment in 1914/15, as he received the SA3aX on 15.4.1915. He also had the LD1.

Here is another Müller, Albert Müller from Ostrach, student of mathematics at the Univ. of Münster.

Maybe he is the Lt who got the HHOX in January 1918.

Ostrach is in Kreis Sigmaringen. Albert Müller was a Leutnant der Reserve in LIR 13 and received the Fürstlich Hausorden on 8.12.1916. If he also received the Königlich Hausorden, he might be the Lt.d.R. in IR 468, although IR 468 was a hessisch regiment and LIR 13 was westfälisch.
