Jim R Posted January 14, 2013 Author Posted January 14, 2013 Unknown Maker, also recently has been associated with Eugen Schmidhausler as the maker.
Jim R Posted January 14, 2013 Author Posted January 14, 2013 This completes the EKI Wiederholungsspanges.
Chris Boonzaier Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Fantastic Jim! This is the wifes great grandfathers , I dont have the eye, a few of those you posted look like deadingers....
Jim R Posted January 14, 2013 Author Posted January 14, 2013 Chris, Unknown Maker or Eugen Schmidhäußler. Jim
Deruelle Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Jim, Thanks for sharing your collection with us. to be honest i'm speechless. Your collection is incredible. have you got some different cases for all your device ? Christophe
Streptile Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Hi Jim, Magnificent collection. Here's two missing. First a 2. Pattern Juncker L/12.
Streptile Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Next is an Unknown Maker. Jon thinks Juncker but I think more likely is another maker. Deumer has also been suggested because the datebox is a twin to Deumer's well-known design, and one was found attached to a Deumer EK1 to make a combo.
lordpage Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Excellent collection and an invaluable guide for spangen collectors. Thanks Jim. Jon
Jim R Posted August 12, 2013 Author Posted August 12, 2013 Jim, Thanks for sharing your collection with us. to be honest i'm speechless. Your collection is incredible. have you got some different cases for all your device ? Christophe Hi Christophe, I missed your post earlier. Yes, I have some for both EKI and EKII version. Here is my best case, it is a Kreigsmarine presentation set. Jim 1
Jim R Posted December 16, 2013 Author Posted December 16, 2013 (edited) Boerger & C0 screwback 2nd model buntmetal. this is the only known one that has been found making it extremely rare. Jim Edited December 16, 2013 by Jim R
Jim R Posted September 18, 2014 Author Posted September 18, 2014 L/57 Boerger & Co pin back buntmetal. I have seen four more pin backs (one zinc) and a zinc screw back.
Stormrider59 Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 To add to the reference for everyone, here is a rare Funcke & Brüninghaus EKI Spange in Tombak marked L/56. Regrettably this Spange was repaired and has been cleaned in the past, but it is too rare not to show.
buellmeister Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 Gentlemen, fantastic examples! Thank you for sharing. Though I don't currently own an EK1 Spange, it is good to know that I have these to compare if I stumble across one. Regards, Joel
Claudio Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 My Juncker... almost identical with one already shown here.
ben bijker Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 In hindsight I think both Boergers in BM are actually P&L, marked for Boerger / sold by Boerger after P&L lost their license. Here's another one I recently bought, a very, very rare Zimmermann 1
saschaw Posted January 15, 2022 Posted January 15, 2022 We have already seen a Deumer Spange in this thread, but mine doesn't have the mark:
ashley58 Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 Great post displaying great examples.pmes of this award. Thanks for showing w?

I showed the first one for reference, but now it's just bragging. Sorry! Here's another exact same piece, from an old stock I was able to acquire. There won't be a third Spange of this type, at least not from that source... Edited March 26, 2022 by saschaw 1
saschaw Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 (edited) Despite we have already seen several Petz & Lorenz Spangen in this thread, this screw back type is still missing. It appears to be Buntmetall, but in fact, it's entirely made from magnetic steel or iron! I guess this qualifies as a "rare bird"! Edited April 25, 2023 by saschaw 1
ben bijker Posted October 11, 2022 Posted October 11, 2022 (edited) Wer have had a very busy year renovating a house , work etc. So I didn't really post much. Time to catch up: Here are some more clasps Unknown maker, Lüdenscheid area Schickle 1st type SB Meybauer prototype.. A nice and rare Deumer Combo And my best catch over the past year L/18 combo, hardly worn. Pic doesn't do it justice.... Edited October 11, 2022 by ben bijker 2
Rudolf Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 Here is my Juncker L/12 with screw cap, the rarest version
VtwinVince Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Here is the clasp awarded by Kesselring to my uncle, Hauptmann Dr. Ochs, on July 12th 1940 for an action on July 10th during which his unit, 9. JG 3, wiped out a Blenheim unit, 107 RAF, near Amiens. 1
