Chip Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Here is one of my two examples. It is full length, and as you can see, the top and bottom edges are not folded back. My other example is on a 79.IR tunic. Chip

Chris Boonzaier Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Braunschweig Totenkopf between the cockades of the guy in back in the open doorway, or a print blotch? Nope, its a skull. I guess he must have been attached to the regiment or battalion.
Bernhard H.Holst Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Nope, its a skull. I guess he must have been attached to the regiment or battalion. Hello: With the onset of trench warfare plus considerable losses of horses due to sickness a number of officers transferred to the air service and the infantry or served on detached service as Chris mentioned. Ernst Juenger's battalion commander at one time was a "Rittmeister" Chris: thanks for showing these pictures because I am very partial to formations from my old province of Hanover Bernhard H. Holst
