Thank you for sharing this with us!!!!

3rd class is may not be entirely true and depends on the date of the award.

From 1886 to 1902 the 3rd class was complete silver without any other materials, not yours.

From 1890 to 1902 there was this type awarded as 3A (its called Unterabteilung A) that means the 3rd Class had 2 Levels during this period.

Later than 1902 there were only one 3rd class with this type.

In Addition, from 1912 there was a 4th class with the appearance of the 3rd class be for it.

This all stands for the older Line, the younger Line only had two classes of crosses.

Greetings from the old capitol of the older Line

Thanks Lars, I was aware of the confusing timeline regarding this award. And an ID of this bar would be nice. It had an Ehrenlegion medal tacked on the end originally, so this guy was apparently alive in the interwar period.

    Hello everybody

After years of research, I was finally able to acquire the Reuß Cross of Honor 3rd Class with swords and crown. A rare piece, and in excellent condition.

    hi,

Here is one photo of my small private museum. I have a ribbon bar with SA3bX, EK2 and RE3X. I put it with Leutnant shoulderboards from IR 107. Only one officer from this unit received this combo plus EK1 and RK : Lt d.R. Otto Meißner (1896-1919)
