The bids are fake. If you see "Angebot mit nicht öffentlicher Bieter-/Käuferliste" in the bidder list, I'm pretty sure it means the bidding is being artificially done. You only ever see this phrase on the listings of the sellers who are selling these fakes. In particular, the Freikorps fakes shown have completely taken over the Freikorps listings to the point that there are seldom, if ever any real Freikorps badges and awards anymore. drspeck Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Latest batch, 3 items, not sure what that horse badge is supposed to represent. Any ideas?
drspeck Posted February 4, 2023 Posted February 4, 2023 Let's start with a medal bar thats currently on Ebay - I knew I had seen this one before and I have, it was "sold" before by the Schragstich Faker, but one of his other accounts was the highest bidder hence seeing this one back on one of his/her other accounts - clear case of trying to push up prices, and this is also how he exposed one of his accounts (stefakrme7) Other items sold by "stefakrme7"
VtwinVince Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 These Schysters are going to ruin what's left of our hobby.
ashley58 Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 Disgusting !!!!!! such a shame to see all this garbage being sold as real. I for one will stay well clear for Imperial orders and decorations other than E.K.s and they are hard enough.
eos512 Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 Just out of curiosity, why they choose to make fake medals not fake cases? Shouldn't it be easier to fabricate fake cases than making delicatly enameled orders? Some cases, such as cases for Austrian order of iron crown, cases for Bavarian MVO officer or mvo 2 and above, are quite expensive these days. I have searched for auction results yesterday and was actually shocked by the winning price of 2000 euro for an empty officer case for Bavarian MVO. There must be a larger margin of profits.
drspeck Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 Dear forum members, I'm afraid this isn't going to stop anytime soon 🤬 Here's the new batch
Wild Card Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 Can't really say that I have quit collecting, but I certainly am glad that I got what I've when I got it. Is there no answer to this insanity? 5 minutes ago, Wild Card said: Can't really say that I have quit collecting, but I certainly am glad that I got what I've got when I got it.
