Stogieman Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 Thanks to a fellow Forum Member this little gem is on its’ way! Now, have to find a case to keep it in.
VtwinVince Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 Congrats, enamel looks pretty nice on that one.
Stogieman Posted September 1, 2023 Author Posted September 1, 2023 There’s some minor chips in the green but I’m still pleased, almost impossible to find anymore. The hunt is on for a case!
jaba1914 Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 (edited) This piece definetely deserves better pictures. Congratulation. Is it stamped with "S" in the lower cross arm? KR Alex Edited September 1, 2023 by jaba1914

KR Alex Hi Alex, not sure if there’s a Scharffenburg mark but this mark is on the suspension ring, hopefully I can make sense of it when it gets here next week.

pinpon590 Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 (edited) Hi ! Look really like a scharffenberg one... Very pleasant these st Henry crosses ! 💗 Edited September 3, 2023 by pinpon590
Stogieman Posted September 3, 2023 Author Posted September 3, 2023 I’ll be looking for the S when it arrives!
Stogieman Posted September 5, 2023 Author Posted September 5, 2023 No S punch on the bottom arm, just the silber punch in the suspension ring. Maybe Roessner?

Stogieman Posted September 6, 2023 Author Posted September 6, 2023 I have 37.5mmx57mm, no scale to weigh it on but I might be able to visit the local coin shop and ask him to weigh it
Stogieman Posted September 16, 2023 Author Posted September 16, 2023 Does anyone know where I could find an Osang case? I’ve handled plenty of Scharffenburg cases over the years but I don’t remember ever having one that had an Osang label on it!
Deruelle Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 Never seen in private collection. For the moment. I have seen a Roesner once, that's all.I am looking for a nice Roesner knight cross with its case.
Stogieman Posted September 17, 2023 Author Posted September 17, 2023 Hi Christophe! I hope you find one! These have become incredibly scarce and I’m surprised at the values, my first one was a cased Scharffenburg and I bought it from Detlev for $800 usd. I agonized for weeks over it but it was just too special to pass up. I’ve surfed the web for awhile now and the only one who seems to have had a steady supply is eMedals but many of the pieces Barry has sold are not ones I’d want in my collection. I’m visiting a fellow collector in October, he has a gold ca. 1870 RK that I’m hoping to see again. It’s so beautiful and different with the fixed crown. Looking forward to that trip! 1
