Rock salt or sodium chloride used for deicing will not work in temperatures below 16 degrees F. Currently, the rock salt is not working. At certain intersections, my auto has become a toboggan.

The Navy Good Conduct Medal was awarded for a "Tour" could be a year to 4 years. It sounds as if your uncle should have received one. You should lookup on the internet "SF-180" and fill it out with a letter concerning the Good Conduct Medal and sent to the National Personnel Records Center. The instructions on on pages 2 and 3 of the electronic SF-180. I hope this helps. Cheers Captain Albert

The only listing that I know of was by Louis Schneider. This was published in the 1880's-1890's? and had a listing of recipients until that time. Originals are very rare. Reprints used to be sold by Werner Sauer. I sold my reprint recently. I do not know of any listing from 1890-1918. There were thousands of such awards.
