    1. Hi Larry, nice clear and spot on colourisation as usual, youve spurred me on to have a rummage in my archives and post a couple or so? Regards
    2. Hi according to my search, thus is anI. M. O. S. Medal, dont revognise the one you posted, sorry https://www.dracomedals.com/belgium/belgian-ww2-posterior-medals/sphinx-imos-ww2-interallied-distinguished-service-cross-military-medal-decoration-award-wwii-1940-1945.html
    3. I have to be honest, im suprised its taken this long to reach this point, probably due to the commitment of many others as Nick mentioned, i believe that since the enevitable has now arrived, a financial membership contribution together with some advetising or selective sponsorship as already mentioned is probably the way forward
    4. Hi, i've since aquired an FR, might compare them, thnx
    5. Ive seen it before many years ago, sadly dont recall who it is/was, fairly unique though i would imagine
    6. Fake, sorry, comes in various ways all falsly stamped that way

    8. Real, to a native recipient Regards Alex k
    9. Correct! Its a medal for 10 pin bowling, very popular certainly in germany in the 1920-30's. Hitler had a 10 pin bowling alley installed in the new reichs chancellery and his bergof in bavaria, in the basement, even though the berghof has long gone i believe the alley is still submerged under tons of rubble Heres my version i picked up decaded ago, cant help with the swords, maybe a military club ? Regards Alex
    10. Hi thanks for a speedy reply, i now have some information to carry on researching. Regards
    11. Hi, just spotted this thread, nice colourization. Just for fun, here's my version i did quite a while ago
    12. Hi all, a bit of help if possible, I came across this nice image of general Rogers, referring to his decorations, I recognise all except the last 2, on the right suspended from long ribbons, can anyone enlighten me on what they are and if "awarded", what for? Thanks in advance Regards alex k
    13. Thought I'd update this thread, attached my rao, made by Hossauer, pre 1850, double stamped "Hossauer" on the edge of the lower arm
    14. One final point to consider, at some point you may want or have to move it on, if youve "overspent", trying to convince other sceptics (like me?) that it is what it claims to be might prove problematic
    15. Ive just posted an answer in your ither thread about the same piece
    16. I would say the price of a messed with ek2, without rock solid provenance as wartime produced and worn, its value is whatever you want to pay for it in my opinion, sorry
    17. Thanks?
    18. ??? Nice one, must keep an eye out for another one
    19. Yes quite interesting and not unattractive
    20. I think this image is as Prince of Wales, not king, he is wearing a uniform of the "Blues and Royals" probably as "Colonel in Chief" Just for fun, a colourised version Edit, more info? Re-examining the original al image, do i see batons!? Additionally his son George V, wore cyphers of 2 predecessors, don't know what the protocol was
    21. Hi larry, bit like me, still do the odd few but with me, the image has to jump out at me now and say "Do me" still makes an interesting diversion though Regards Alex Just for fun a couple of recent ones
    22. Hi, nice, colourised well and does make a difference! Regards!
