    1. That is a sharp eye, but I would want to see a better side profile before being 100% certain. It could be the edge of the tresse.
    2. What a great grouping!! The photos are the best part for me! Are there any with him wearing the DKiG? He looks very young. When he passed in 66, he must have been in his forties, at the oldest.
    3. Interesting... is there anything in the books actually "authorizing" it? Regardless, it is a very interesting piece!
    4. Welcome to the GMIC, "Ex-Cop". I would love to see this uniform. Please post an image of it!!
    5. LOL! You are exactly right... I dont know what I was thinking.
    6. I am puzzled as to why we would not be allowed to wear this medal... From Desert Storm, we are allowed to wear Kuwaiti and Saudi medals...
    7. Perhaps!! Really cool if that is the case!! What color was the piping on the boards you passed up with the HV?
    8. I think that the second ribbon bar COULD be real. The other items are reproduction. How much are originals going for these days?
    9. Those are some great photos!! Thank you for sharing them! Were the DDR versions revamped WW2 items or completely new?
    10. Mike!! That is an awesome set. Very rare and desireable. You should start a new thread on this uniform. I would like to see some more photos of it and the cap!!
    11. Nice job!!! I really like the mounted police medals!
    12. That is a very cool piece!! Now was he fighting partisans or did they ambush/kill him? I do not see him actively hunting for partisans. I guess we will never know. Does it list any awards for him?
    13. That is one great set!! Thank you for sharing it with us! I await the translations as well!
    14. It must have taken a lot of force to do that damage to those insignia. Perhaps damaged caused by the forces of a parachute strap while the canopy is deploying?
    15. Nice one Dan!! I am noticing that these 57 badges are starting to get that WW2 patina to them!! Are they picking up in value?
    16. That outer piping is not the type I have ever seen on any TR item... I hope that I am wrong.
    17. THose are some GREAT photos!!! I do not know where to begin!! The LW man with the KM High Seas Fleet is spectacular. Also notice the LW Field Division man, Oberj?ger Helmut Hildebrandt , has the rank gulls directly onto the collar, as per the 1944 regulations!! Very nice! Also, I find it interesting that Oberstingenieur Kurt Breith is a WW1 vet who got a 1939 EK2 as an Ingenier!!!!!!.
