    1. Thank you for this in depth report!! It was a pleasure to read. I honestly learned a lot here! Thanks again! Paul
    2. Very nice set of LS medals! Congrats! Which one is the Hungarian Soldier? The one with the Austrian medal Bar? I cannot see the collar tab on the SS trooper. What legion tab was that? Paul
    3. Thank you for posting the photos. Were you able to go inside of any of the larger air craft?
    4. Nesredep, Thanks for the compliment! It sincerely means a lot. But I merely started the thread. It was carried by the interest and additions of our members. I thank all for that!
    5. I was under the impression that in order to be a non US citizen and join the military, the enlistee had to be from a US territory(Puerto Rico, Wake, Philippeans-until 1991, and persons with a certain type of visa).
    6. Hardy, A very nice and rarely seen example of a LW senior medical NCO strap!!
    7. I have never seen anything like it!
    8. Hi Rick, Do you think that the use of the newer style uniform was for the portrait, or do you think that this was his issued "kit"? Paul
    9. This is interesting. So this was awarded as sort of a long service medal(professional service to the DRK)?
    10. Ebay has always had a good selection of nice reproduction orders.
    11. I have been wrong before, but these seem to be modern reproductions. Where did you get them? Regards Paul
    12. Hi Mosi, Can you please repost the boards? I would like to look them over. Kind regards Paul
    13. Could these be for the highest rank in the RLB(President)? They were in my friends collection for 3-4 decades. He collects mainly SS and he sent them to me. He is an experienced collector but is not sure if they are repro or not. The quality is very good for a 30-40 year old repro. I am thinking that it could be original. Thoughts are encouraged and welcome! Are there any known repro insignia made in this manner? Regards Paul
    14. Are there any more of these out there? I know that there were about 38,000 of these awarded. I know that there have to be more in this forum!
    15. Hi Larry, I would think that much better photos would be needed to confirm it's originality.
    16. There is absolutely no need for this type of behavior here. I dont like your language and most importantly, your attitude. You are welcomed to participate in this forum, but please maintain a bit of decorum and self dignity. Thanks Title has been changed to one that is more easily searchable.
    17. Alexandra, I am glad that you joined up! I hope to see you as a regular member. Based upon our correspondence, I am sure that you will like your time here. I think that your taking the time to research and preserve the memories of you past family members is admirable. Hopefully, we can come up with more stuff!! I am looking into a couple things... Also, Kurt is the first Wartime Official that I have ever come across that was identified! This is very helpful in identifying the types of roles these men filled within the Luftwaffe organization.
    18. I can only echo everyone else's sentiments... WOW! This has to be one of the world's better Noncombatant bars!
    19. So it is a political award. I am very surprised that he is wearing it. Still, a nice looking medal!
    20. Hi!! Thanks for posting this photo. I have never before seen this order. I am surprised that he wore it at that time. What was this medal normally awarded for?
