    14. my mentor talks about a time in collecting when the lowly '14 EK 2's were almost literally a dime a dozen.... he alleges being offered a 1'x1'x1' box of them, full for what we might be paying for a single one today... joe
    15. wonderful progression from documents/details to a story with a name and face! that face.... the picture in the last grouping is one i've seen before and have always been thoroughly intrigued by. a face that's seen a hundred years compressed into 3 or 4..... was Herr Brecht KIA? fascinating thread! joe

    18. another aspect concerning the '14 EK is the wonderful variety of appearances (within a narrow set of guidelines) amongst them. some are delicate and fine appearing, others rather less so. less "poetic license" with the institution of rules/regs from the LDO during the TR. good summary, mike. joe
