    1. Never heard of a Stern zum EK 1870 being produced, or even considered by the GOC. But I agree that Moltke was a deserving candidate.
    2. I'm going to restore this bar. I think the missing orders are RAO3mS, KO3 and a Hohenzollern Honor Cross with Crown. Any chance one of the research gurus can ID this one?
    3. Man, that is one fantastic Schnalle, and the document makes for interesting reading.
    4. Hi Peter, As you know, this is an extremely rare version of the RAO, and I haven't seen enough real ones to give a definitive opinion, but I agree that the quality of the piece you show is lacking.
    5. Looks like a nice original to me, value maybe euro 300.? I also love that Bavarian medal bar, really outstanding combo of awards.
    6. I have one of these kicking around, and they aren't that common. I always took them to be a postwar, pinback version of the wartime awards, for private purchase. Definitely not a Freikorps item.
    7. Great group, and the Baden collectors are very 'hart am Ball' in Germany.
    8. I don't like the way the Hindenburg cross is mounted, looks like it was tipped in at a later date.
    9. I have a medal bar from an Oberleutnant Mueller. All I know about him was that he was in the Feldartillerie and died in 1896. He was a veteran of the 1864 and 1866 wars as well. If anyone has more info on him, that would be a real bonus.
    10. Nice, always good to have pieces with a name. I have several family EK's.
    11. This guy must be related to my godfather, Juergen Laue, also of Magdeburg, and a Jagdpanther commander in 1945. That is a great Adelsbrief.
    12. I have an award document for the Italian Order of the Crown dated 1889 to this person, but have no idea if it is a military or civil award. Any help as usual much appreciated.
    13. Interesting group, and unusual to a Bavarian with the PKOM. What LSD is that second from right?
