    1. Comments welcomed on this one. Pin replaced with a screw-disc attachment and post device behind cross of crown.
    2. Great stuff, Claudio. I really like the von Epp Max Josef, interesting that it was gifted by Neal O'Connor. As for marches, you can't beat the Radetsky, my grandfather's favorite.
    3. It is a relatively scarce award, and sought after on medal bars, but they don't command the sort of money you'd expect. Still a nice piece.
    4. Thanks for clarifying, Claudio. I have a picture of Wilhelm wearing this Schnalle, and that makes sense.
    5. Ach du Lieber, I've heard of this collection, but hadn't seen pics. That mini-spange is incredible, and that PLM from 1866.....
    6. I agree, looks very good to me. These were awarded to members of the Fliegertruppe who had served at least three years in the air force.
    7. Looks like good quality, better than the average Spangenstueck. Are there any markings on the edge of the bottom cross arm?
    8. Sorry about that, here are his details: Paul Ludwig Weller, born 10.7.1868 in Koenigsberg, died 31.5.1932 in Schloss Metgethen.
    9. My great grandfather, Paul Weller, was a well-known philanthropist in Koenigsberg, East Prussia, and was awarded the Freeman of the City and an honorary doctorate from the Albertinum University as well. I think he must have received some bling from the Kaiser, but have no idea what awards he got. Any help would be appreciated. Officially he was a Rittergutsbesitzer.
    10. Very nice medal bar Dete, I love the Phillipsorden and am looking for a Schnalle with one with swords. So far I only have one without swords on a bar, also identified by the redoubtable research gnome.
