ccj Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 I too like your photo Marcin, great detail and makes me wish I could get a look inside their bunker. All the photos being shared are wonderful. Thanks
Marcin L Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Oh well, sharing a passion is always a pleasure. I am glad you like the picture. Regards, Marcin
Chris Boonzaier Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Is the guy on the left wearing a kilt??
Jock Auld Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Is the guy on the left wearing a kilt?? Don't know Chris thought it may be shorts as he looks bare legged, perhaps 'airing his tackle' during a lull? Looks like the skirt of his jacket on the left.
The Prussian Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Maybe he´s got his trousers oin the legs and he mends something
Jock Auld Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Maybe he´s got his trousers oin the legs and he mends somethinganything is possible, I can't see any more than you guys, probably less!
Chris Boonzaier Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 'airing his tackle' during a lull? So THATS what the Jocks call it! Anything worn under the kilt? No, all in perfect working order!
IrishGunner Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Either he has a huge chunk out of his right knee and that's a huge scar... Or... It's a wrinkle in his very tight trousers. You guys seeing naked legs need to go hug your wives.

spolei Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Hello, nice picture of "old men". I think they are Landwehr-soldiers. They use the old Mauser-rifle 88.
Odulf Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Two photos of Austrian soldiers in trenches. The first was sent as a postcard and bears the postal stamp Krems a.d. Donau 15.XI.13.
Chris Boonzaier Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I think they are Landwehr-soldiers. They use the old Mauser-rifle 88. Although some regiments had to give up their G98s when they left the Western front and got G88s for their time on the eastern front!!
Marcin L Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Here is another one. Sorry for the red line, its my wonderful Epson...
Marcin L Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 And a brief description. Maybe some gnome can read this one?
Chip Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Here is another one. Sorry for the red line, its my wonderful Epson... Marcin, Super photo! What devastation. It appears the two men with the packs are being escorted by the one with the rifle, as they seem not to have rifles of their own. One is carrying some telephone wire. They must be far enough behind the lines that the last man doesn't feel compelled to wear his helmet. Chip
Jock Auld Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Couple from the weekend. Last pair not trenches but the Kantine looks to be 'dug in' so fairly sharp? Last one, go any further and you will be shot!?
Uffz. Rohleder Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Here some Trench Fotos from my collection - hope you like them GreetingsStefan
ccj Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 Does anyone have photos of the Marinekorps Flandern troops in the trenches?
IR 134 Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 (edited) Does anyone have photos of the Marinekorps Flandern troops in the trenches?Maybe not what you're looking for but I have this Franz Eichhorst artist-card from a series of at least 32. You can find most part of the series here. The mentioned Collection Grabenhorst refer to I think Karl G., brother of the author of war-novel "Fahnenjunker Volkenborn", Georg Grabenhorst, who himself served 17/18 in the Marine Infantry as Fähnrich and described his time there.Gruß Stefan Edited June 25, 2015 by IR 134
