landsknechte
Perhaps a little on the "salty" side, but the only thing that I've got that even has enamel... --Chris

Stogieman
Here’s a fun older thread that shows some wonderful, early awards I used to have. Feel free to add and keep it going!

graham
Thanks Stogieman. Another Order of the Zähringen Lion. This one is a 1st class with swords & Oak leaves:
VtwinVince
That is a really nice set of oakleaves. Here is an 'enamel-heavy' medal bar which belonged to the aviator, Leutnant Otto Eckstein.
Stogieman
@graham, nice additional example! @VtwinVince Really nice bar Vince, the precedence is really weird though! I understand the cluster of Wurttemburg but I’m surprised the bravery medal is mounted before the Friedrich Order?
graham
Thanks VtwinVince (great bar) and again Stogieman. Edited March 4 by graham
VtwinVince
You're right Rick, but as we know, the Germans played it fast and loose with precedence. This bar has been much discussed over the years, and I believe originally came from the Seymour collection. Here is a cool one, PKO2 with the 60 year jubilee device, awarded about 24 times if I remember correctly.
Dave Danner
Eckstein had a WgM. So either the gold medal was removed and replaced, or a gilt medal has really lost its luster.
Stogieman
Nice Crown Order with the case and nice to see a “button”. Only had a couple over the years, both fourth class awards. A Red Eagle and a Crown Order. Very nice indeed!! Who else has enamel to share??
VtwinVince
You're right Dave, and it's a silver version for sure on the bar, with no evidence of removal. Eckstein was also a recipient of the Wuerttemberg Military Merit Order. Here is a high quality Spangenstueck produced by Godet with very nice enamel. Preußenstolz
8 minutes ago, Komtur said: Is it a "Frack"? 🤔 In regard of the arrangement of the medals I would tend to normal medal bar, with typical saxon triangle mount.
Solomon
As I don´t want to post Lippe-Detmold all the time, I will show another enameled beauty, which I sold some time ago. This piece came directly from the family and the owner was the only one allowed to wear this Waldeck-cross at the combatant (!!!) - ribbon....
