    1. Very Interesting photos ! Amersfoort appears like a Barracks City , as they existed in USA or in Hungary ,Hajmasker.in this case . The WW2 bad reputed Theresienstad because of the nazi Concentration Camp was originally a Austrian Military City thanks for share .
    2. Hola , De nada como decimos aca. If the stripe colour is morado that is purple so the Shoulder board is of the Engineering branch .and the rank that of Fanjunkare ,Fahnenjunker in German and Ensign in english . not exactly a Master sargeant but more or less equivalent . the Flygvapnet that means Luftwaffe or Air Weapon ,as many Air Forces except the USAF used to distinct the non Flying branches with colours
    3. Hello again , Two branches of service used distinctive colours between the rank stripes . medical and engineering .medicals red and engineers purple .
    4. Hello ,during WW1 ,the Austro Hungarians occupated a part o Albania and created a Gendarmerie ,uniformed as the Austrian but with white fez .after the war many of these men served in the new Gendarmerie . The dark uniforms could be of the Italian Carabinieri . leased to the Albanians .
    5. Swedish Air Force , Flygvapnet , the rank Fanjunkare that is Master Sargeant . the colour between the stripes denotes branch of service .but i dont know which is it .
    6. Thanks for share , generally speaking i observe that the Albanian Army under President Zoghu then King Mbret Zoghu ,tended to be uniformed in Italian Style adapted first and later in openly Italian pattern . once occupied and annexed to Italy the kingdom ,the Italians raised a Albanian Army again uniformed as Italian , the Skandenberg Helmet reappeared as national Army emblem with Zoghu .
    7. Vladimir Laxa 1870 1945 ,was a Croatian officer of the Austro Hungarian Army ,he reached the rank of Colonel and received the Order of Maria Theresia for Bravery in the Italian Front . after WW1 he joined the Yugoslav Army and after the destruction of the Kingdom ,he joined the new Croatian Army. Chief of Staff he resigned in 1942 because the atrocities commited by the Utaschi . notwhitstanding he was executed in 1945 as war criminal ,.
    8. Army Corps XIII , During WW1 the Germans used many Beute things and that included uniforms . The Austro Hungarians also used captured materials , mostly Italian . they used Italian tunics re dyed to Feldgrau ,and Adrian helmets re painted in Isonzobraun
    9. Perhaps from some Ucrainan Militia .
    10. Hello ,the coats looks as French officers tunics of a type introduced in late 1914 . perhaps captured and re dyed . another option is the French (for sir John French ) tunic of the Tsarist Army. also captured items .
    11. Gentlemen , Der Kammerbulle ,a German supplier of good quality repros offers a Bavarian general helmet plate without leaves and says that is the model used from february 1914
    12. First, appears too small in size , nearly for a child . second , the cloth appears as old and of low quality , as you can expect in a WW1 mutze manufactured in 1915 . the grey band to conceal the red one ,looks newer than the cap itself . and if the cap is private purchased to Winter Berlin , the grey band is provided by Bekleidungsamt XVI
    13. Nice Repro ! regarding the helmets ,Bavarian Generals weared silver buttons ,braids , helmet metalic pieces, but Medical Generals not . they weared gold ones . the enamelled coat of arms was common to both types .
    14. Hello , Serbian not , the most probable Imperial mexican and the rank Lt Colonel , two equal french style epaulettes and French type Brides . two five pointed stars on the collar and a braid on it of oak leaves .
    15. Nice piece ! Jan K Kube In his book Militaria , shows a helmet with enamelled coat of arms and says that it was a pattern for Medical Generals and Generaladjutanten .
    16. peter ,Many thanks ! I dont know till now about The South Asian Military Heritage Group .i will take a look
    17. Ian ,after i looked again the photo i must agree with you .the man wears Tisztviseloi rozsacska on the collar , 1909 pattern regarding the branch of service ,one possibility is Veterinarian ;Allatorvos , another Pharmacist , or Proviant Fohadnagy .
    18. My pleasure ! Once I read who was the Spencer that gave his name to the tunic but i forgot it . probably some soldier of fortune serving in the Bavarian Army in the time when Count Rumford reorganized it being War minister of the Elector . regarding the officers wearing black trousers I think that they were allowed to use the peacetime trousers or breeches as economy measure
    19. Hello ,Frenchs never used british tanks in ww1, then hardly have a badge depicting one . The US Army weared a collar badge for officers with a british tank but with laurel wreaths on the base of the tank .
    20. Hello Pralea ,.Hard to say but one possibility is A Tizedes of the Hungarian Crown Guard wearing walking out uniform used until 1896
