Notice that the nebenfarbe is not the common "Panzer" pink, which were used by the technical branch of the LW officials, but the bright Carmine used by the General Staff. Here is a side by side comparison- notice the rose pink and red on the outer sides. The topic shoulder board is in the center. This is the only set I have ever come across.

I thought that the Philippines was a US territory during that time, thus should receive(in my logic) the US version of that medal. I am very suprised to see this. -

Cool website. I read a few of the articles. It will be an awesome society to join, especially for those who can participate at the meetings and activities. I read one article that went into the 1915 Battle of Ypres. There is a photo of British soldiers using wet guaze to protect them from the gas. Was this effective at all? I cannot imagine it being much of an effective barrier... -
