      Just goes to show how inaccurate it is to try to decipher waffenfarbe in black and white photos. That is a great portrait! Silvart, Those photos definitely have a panzer destruction badge on the right arm!!! Very nice indeed! I have not seen a period LW photo with one before.

      Since this was such a small unit used for mainly propaganda, I wonder what SS-Hauptsturmf?hrer Hans Werner Roepke could have done to have been relieved of command? It sounds like it would have been the perfect "cake" billet.

      1. The black center stripe is narrower and the red stripes are wider on the KVK. 2. The medal bar is in the correct order if the medal was a Kyffhauserbund Medal and completely out of order if the medal was supposed to be a KVK2. 3. There is no Hindenberg Cross Present, which should be on the medal bars of WW1 Veterans after 1934.
