Here is a new set of Courtsmartial NCO!!! A nice Carmine nebenfarbe!

Notice that the nebenfarbe is not the common "Panzer" pink, which were used by the technical branch of the LW officials, but the bright Carmine used by the General Staff. Here is a side by side comparison- notice the rose pink and red on the outer sides. The topic shoulder board is in the center. This is the only set I have ever come across.

And I thought that my passion for the LW was over. Just as I had given up hope on finding anything else within the LW realm, I came across this set of Carmine nebenfarbed Supreme Courts Martial NCO Shoulder Boards.

Beautiful!! Is there a ROSE pink nebenfarbe? That is what it looked to be in that auction.

That is really an intersting piece. What the purpose of that bandage? I do not recognize it.

I thought that the Philippines was a US territory during that time, thus should receive(in my logic) the US version of that medal. I am very suprised to see this.

Cool website. I read a few of the articles. It will be an awesome society to join, especially for those who can participate at the meetings and activities. I read one article that went into the 1915 Battle of Ypres. There is a photo of British soldiers using wet guaze to protect them from the gas. Was this effective at all? I cannot imagine it being much of an effective barrier...

How were the medals upgraded? They were removed/added to the bar?

I do not think that members of the Volksturm were promoted, per se. I think that the were appointed rank and etc based upon past military experience or leadership position in the community... Maybe someone who knows more and add on to this, either way?

Now that is an early one Larry. I was asking earlier if you were able to find the collar tabs that went with the dark blue nebenfarbe boards. Did you ever get those rose pink insignia?
