Here's my humble offering made by W.sch & Co, mint condition with urkunde and what I believe to be the original tissue it came with

    Rohleder,

I too like the Saxon style ribbon; they seem to be the hardest to find.

I especially like your mother's mini set … very envious.

Thank you very much Gar. Yes it seems they are realy hard to find. Its the first saxon style i found in over 17years.

Reviving this interesting thread with a recent find that hasn't been posted yet. Pictures are really bad, in hand the obverse of this fine CEJ MM cross for widows/parents looks perfect in its enamel black color.

    Hope you like it

    Cheers Thomas

Pictured here is a recent acquisition which I thought I would add for reference.  The known maker is listed in the Jan.1, 2008 post #54 by "Jabnus":  Gbr. D. L. (im Kreis) unbekannt unbekannt (Swords).

That's really cool because I was born in Blankenburg and I know Family Schrader from Rübeland.

Here is the only Hindenburg cross in my collection.

Awarded to Karl Wüllner who after WW1 served in the Ostseedivision in the Finnish liberty war.
I also have his EK2 and medals from Finland with documents and his wehrpass.

Reviving this thread as I have always been interested but have not collected these ones. BUT, I have just been offered a ribbon-less crossed swords 39 RV Pforzheim - what is the significance of these numbers?

How rare are the Hindenburg crosses awarded to finns?

Here is a pic of one awarded to Ivar Kauranen, the stamp says "Deutscher gesandt… in Helsingfors".

Can anyone read the signature? :)

That should be Wipert von Blücher, who was ambassador to Finland 1935-1944

    PS: Just found a proof:
