CRBeery Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 I love cased/boxed items. Very nice pieces you have.

saxcob Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 This is a case for all three Hanseatic crosses. Although it is not marked, it shows all the typical characteristics of the Rothe company (Vienna): It is assumed that it was awarded to Archduke Eugen of Austria (1863-1954), as it came together with other awards from his estate. 4
graham Posted February 18, 2023 Author Posted February 18, 2023 saxcob, that is an amazing piece of history.

VtwinVince Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Holy cow is that Rothe ensemble ever kool.
chuck Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 What metal did Rothe construct ArchDukes Eugen crosses? are they made of silver or silvered copper? regards, chuck
saxcob Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 They seem to be the standard types. Hard to tell whether they could have been replaced at some point in time.
