    1. So then this example would be an early one? The chest feathers look to be a different type.
    2. Thanks for the explanation, Frank. Then I can view these as very rare documents.
    3. These Weimar bars are some of the most beautiful out there, and very under appreciated when compared to their rarity. I really like the Weimarer Republik, Ehrenbund s?chsischer Weltkriegsteilnehmer e. V. Kameradschaftsbund Deutscher Ost- u. Westfrontk?mpfer series. Hard to believe that the bar in post seven will go from seven to three pieces in 1934 and that all that the bars in posts #3-4 will consist of is a mere HK! Here is my meager contribution(but I do love it).
    4. I have never seen an unquestioned example. I could be wrong but I think that these are like the Luftwaffe Panzer Assault Badge. Maybe awarded on paper only?
    5. I see that you found one. Congrats. So only wounded officers could receive this award? Nothing for the Enlisted guys?
    6. I bet that the person stuffing his attic with those dirty German uniforms in 1946 were thought of as idiots as well. I wonder how many of these people funded their retirement on the "trash" they horded?
    7. This is the first DDR passports I have seen. What happened to most of them when the DDR fell? Were they turned in for the new German documents or were they simply kept by the owners?
    8. I thought that LW Ground forces used the Heer Close Combat Clasp.
    9. Nesredep and Bob, Thank you for the compliment. I am always looking for more!
    10. I think that he was a member of the RAD and a decorated Hessian(unless I am mistaken) WW1 vet.
    11. Thank you for sharing the photo. Do you know any information about him?
    12. Thanks Chief, I thought that members were invited. I will look for a Lodge then. Thank you again! Paul
    13. Yep... the one on the left is the faded one. It is cornflower blue, where the fading made it look purplish on the front. No worries Jon. I have days like that more than one would think!
    14. Thanks guys! For now then, I will call it Judicial. Either way, it is still a great tunic! http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=23143
