    1. I believe the name is House Order of Duke Peter Friedrich Ludwig Honour Cross 3rd Class with swords awarded 1856-1918. The ribbon is the same as the Oldenburg Friedrich Cross. Estimated current value could be around €300. Best wishes Matt
    2. I really like this one Christophe! What an impressive collection. Best wishes Matt
    3. Very nice addition Timo. Sort of unusual...I like it. Can the Bulgarian ribbon represent anything non-combatant or was it strctly used for the Bravery Medal/Cross? Best wishes Matt
    4. Stunning Christophe!! It is good to see this pictured beside the other grades, gives a good idea of size. Best wishes Matt
    5. Hello Timo, What a very nice ribbon bar. It definately looks like an original. To me the second ribbon looks like a Kyffhauser Veteran's Commemorative Medal. Best wishes Matt
    6. Dear Alan, I would guess that the original wearer of this ribbon bar would have served 1914-1918, left service and rejoined in the Luftwaffe 1935-1936. Given that the Wurttemberg Military Merit ribbon has no device I would say that this represents the Military Merit Medal and therefore this was not an Officer's bar. I hope this is of some help to you. Best wishes Matt
    7. Chris, I do not think I have ever seen one of these up close before. It really is detailed. Best wishes Matt
    8. I really like this medal bar too, especially the Griffin Order. I think it is the Swedish Sword Order that is missing. The Austrian Order of the Crown ribbon is similar but different as is the Dutch Orange-Nassau Order ribbon. Do you hope to restore this medal bar Tim? Best wishes Matt
    9. Colin, Here is how the ribbon bar would have looked. The EK1 was not represented on a ribbon bar. Best wishes, Matt
    10. Timo, Very nice ribbon bars indeed. A shame you did not get the longer ribbon bar but at least you have the photograph. Best wishes Matt
    11. Hello Dante, The order of precedence is not correct but sometimes the rules were not always followed by tailors. The ribbons, devices and hardware look original. What is the 5th ribbon? Best wishes Matt
    12. Dear Jason, Definitely a questionable ribbon bar as the other chaps have already pointed out. Devices on everything!! The awards are: 1. Saxon Albert Order 2. Saxon Albert Order 3. Saxe-Ernestine Order 4. Saxe-Ernestine Order 5. Wurttemberg Friedrich Order 6. Baden Zahringer Lion 7. Anhalt Friedrich Cross 8. Lippe-Detmold War Merit Cross 9. Braunschweig War Merit Cross Best wishes, Matt
    13. Rudi, I must say what a beautiful item this is. No. 2: Order of "Simon Bolivar" or sometimes called the Order of the Liberator, Venezuela No. 3: Order of Isabella the Catholic, Spain No. 7: Military Order of Christ, Portugal No. 9: Order of Nicham-Iftikar, Tunisia Best wishes Matt
    14. As some here may know, I am a Hanseatic collector and I must say Timo that this is a beautiful piece!! My congratulations on obtaining it. Do you know if that is the original ribbon? Best wishes Matt

    17. Stunning! Too beautiful to be sitting in a drawer! Best wishes Matt
    18. Saschaw, Good on you for sticking to your guns on this one. I guess things sometimes are not always as they seem. Best of luck with the ID. Best wishes Matt
    19. Claudio, I too would like to add my congratulations. That is a superb medal group. It is great to see the Lubeck Cross with no enamel damage. Best wishes Matt
    20. Pat, Very nice group you have there. Shame about the ink stain. I am not sure about maker marks but I am almost certain that the majority of the original medals were made from iron and therefore magnetic. Best wishes Matt
