Homerjey Posted February 7, 2016 Author Posted February 7, 2016 Here is my second cross from the same carrier. This cross was produce by Meybauer with the typical needle.
ccj Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Does anyone have an award role for this decoration? I wonder if many enlisted men earned this award.
Komtur Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 97 role is in the Thüringisches Staatsarchiv Gotha 2-99-4004 Volle, Henning: Stiftungen und Erneuerungen von deutschen Orden und Ehrenzeichen im Ersten Weltkrieg

Streptile Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 (edited) Deruelle's, Don's, and the first one posted by Thomas (Homerjey) appear to be all from the same dies. Edited March 7, 2016 by Streptile
ccj Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 What's opinion on the second cross Thomas Posted? The first one I assume is a bury.
Homerjey Posted March 13, 2016 Author Posted March 13, 2016 Yes this is made by Meybauer, with the typical needle.
Claudio Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 (edited) A special one being sold on the next Thies' auction... "mit Brillianten"... ;-) Eine Sonderform des Kreuzes mit Brillianten wurde nur einmal an den Kommandanten des 6. Thüringischen Infantrie-Regiments Nr. 95, Oberst von Selle, verliehen. Der Herzog selbst besaß auch ein Exemplar. http://www.ehrenzeichen-orden.de/deutsche-staaten/carl-eduard-kriegskreuz.html https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fritz_von_Selle Interesting thread about pictures of von Selle, posted by Christophe. http://gmic.co.uk/topic/19338-oberst-von-selle/ Ciao, C Edited March 15, 2016 by Claudio
Alan Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 What's the general opinion about this one? A good Meybauer? Does anyone know who made the award pieces? Alan
Homerjey Posted March 10, 2017 Author Posted March 10, 2017 Nice original, look at the first pictures, its the same. Best regards Thomas
Dansson Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 (edited) Stunning crosses! Quite interesting that at least 3 different pin setups exist of a badge awarded for so few. Of course some may be private purchase pieces, but anyway. Edited March 10, 2017 by Dansson
Alan Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 (edited) So it is.... Is this cross still in your collection Thomas? I found my pics from an auction on eBay.de So does Bury and Leonhardt Hanau supply award pieces and is this one? I notice that it does not have the notches either side of the pin that Don's and Christophe's show. Edited March 11, 2017 by Alan
