    1. Outstanding collection of diver related items. I'd love to find a LW Diver's FB. I wonder what color waffenfarbe he wore?
    2. I can see the images now. So on the inside, there is no evidence of an eagle sewn through the liner? I thought I can see a shadow on the tunic, but it could just be me. Either way, in this state, I'd put a starting price of about 3200 dollars. Mine, complete with CT and eagle, sold to a dealer for 4,100 dollars.
    3. Thanks! Then at 30 years, the award would have been the ORB again?
    4. Here is a strange example, executed with some sort of golden/brown thread. When I bought it, I thought it was some sort of discoloration from a smoker's house or use, but this is not the case.
    5. I know. The images are not great in those books. More like drawings.

      THE SWORD

You should be very proud of it. Did all officers use the same style of sword?
    7. I love the British bars for Korea! They are not common at all.
    8. I did not know people could be awarded more than one! Are they expensive to collect?
    9. The LW FD did not use a dedicated style LW M43 tunic (that I know of), other than Heer issue, complete with Heer eagle. The one you mention is for the HG division. I remember it well. A complete tunic, without CT and badges... I am guessing about 4500-5K. I've never seen one with collar tabs or gulls in the collar I'd love to see it!
    10. Oh man! All in one stop? I've never seen so many in one spot. Also, I love the BWB mounted like that.
    11. Either he passed away or just paid for a new upgraded bar. I have several personal medal bars that I just simply replaced with entire new bars as awards were added.
    12. Perfect little bar for me! I love these two spacers the best. Congrats.
    13. Merry Christmas to you all!! :-) No Grinch here!
    14. This is the first SA Korean set I've seen. How many South Africans deployed to Korea during that war?
    15. I am surprised that the award recipients did not realize the problem and correct it themselves. It is not like it is a gold bar or increases pay, right?
    16. I know that I read through things quickly, but how much of his time was with the Naval Reserves? Reserve time is not good toward the Active Duty version of the GCM. It seems as if the folks who completed his records confused him with being in the Army(loops and oak leaves for ribbons). The Army criteria for the CGM was consistently three years. Under the Army regs, he would have had six awards of the CGM(Medal and five loops) at 20 AD years. Being in the Navy during the time period he was in, he could have only earned the 5 awards(medal and four stars). Brett, I will have to your bar out! Regards Paul
    17. From my understanding, these were made especially for the HG division. It would be an interesting development if these were made for the LWFD as well, but I would need to see some primary evidence for this. By 1943, the LWFD was moved over to Heer command and control, and equipped using Heer supplies of uniforms and equipment.
    18. I would not want it based on the flaws and the inconsistent detail on the obverse.
    19. Those look like the Hermann Goering Division M43s. Are there any indications of a removed CT? You may need to look closely because some were hand sewn onto the sleeve.
