    Hi all, this set came in this week. Because of the moth nips on the back these are not immaculate, but still very nice :jumping:

    Nice one, is that a Red Cross or Volkspflege award at the end?

    I believe it's a Volkspflege, likely as an indication for the 2nd grade. Best. Peter

    What a beautiful Godet spange! But I remember the price is already close to 100 euros?I believed you really like it, because nobody would spend  100 euros on it except you.

    The Bulgarian one is amazing!!!

    As far as my crystal ball tells me, a General Staff Major Radeff got the Bremen Hanseatic and the Prussian Crown Order 3 with swords.

    He was in the Staff of the Mountain Division.

    Best,

    Daniel

    Hi everybody,

    I think Shezx's medal bar is a good one, judging by the neat folding of the ribbons on the front and the ribbon bows on the back. That looks typical Godet to me. The backing is not of the usual good quality used before the First World War or in 1930s, but I have seen this type of inferior quality backing fabric on bars made immediately after the First World War and in the early 1920s.

    Cheers,

    Thanks for your reply! I found a medal bar made by Godet and the backing fabric looks like mine. This kind of backing fabric is unusual to see.

    Dear forumites

    i think I haven’t shown here this civilian medal bar yet…  unfortunately no name yet, but judging from the combination and dark blue backing cloth on the reverse, it could be also a naval officer (medical?), either native (not necessarily since the BMVO3X is placed in the end of the bar) of Bavaria or served in a unit/ship with Bavarian connection.

    Either way I strongly believe it‘s Godet bar, judging from the neatly folded ribbons on the obverse.

    Orders & Medals on the medal bar:

     Preußen, Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse, 1914 (OEK 1909), E/S;
     Preußen, Roter Adler Orden 4. Klasse (OEK 1704), S;
     Preußen, Kronen-Orden 3. Klasse (OEK 1757), G;
     Preußen, Rote Kreuz Medaille 2. Klasse 1898-1921 (OEK 1871), S;
     Preußen, Landwehr-DA 1. Klasse 1876-1920 (OEK 1977), S/G;
     Preußen, Rote Kreuz Medaille 3.Klasse 1898-1916 (OEK 1972), Br vg;
     Bayern, Militär-Verdienstorden, Kreuz 3. Kl. mit Schwertern, nur 834 Verleihungen (OEK 405), G
     Lippe-Detmold, Kriegsverdienstkreuz am Band für Kämpfer (OEK 1190), GBr vg
     Weimarer Republik, Deutsche Ehrendenkmünze des Weltkrieges mit Kampfabzeichen der Ehrenlegion (DN 2.02.17 a/b)

    Cheers
