The casualty lists mentions him in bavarian 3rd Inf.Rgt. But I couldn´t find him in the regimental history.

I also couldn´t find him in the Red Cross lists of POWs...

Looks as Ober Gneuss , Ober for Oberleutnant i suppose. the collar of his tunic is interesting . no Bavarian Borte , and appears as if he had retired a patch of the collar sides . Bavarian is ,the Lion buttons are clearly visible

Sure he's Bavarian? He is writing to Saarburg after all.

Good question... it is hard to tell as he is wearing an Überrock.... which in itself makes me think he must have been very at home in Bad Tolz.....

However, even google does not have a Schückinger?

    HI!

It´s not Schückinger, it´s Oberleutnant Hermann Schützinger, born 23rd April 1888 Bayreuth. He is in Bad Tölz, probably in a Vereins-Lazarett, because he was severely wounded while with 11th Bavarian Infantry Regiment. He was slightly wounded again in March of 1917. He started the war as Lieutenant and left the Army before 1926 as Hauptmann.

    Hi Chris,

    "10.4.-30.4.20 Unruhen in Sachsen"

Thanks dave, I only recognised the "In" bit ?

Ahhh... OK, has to do with the postscript to to the Kapp putsch.... "
