    1. That is the best looking example of that medal I have seen.
    2. Thanks Jeff! I am really starting to get back into these again. I am finding a VoG to match up with it as well, as he was eligible for that too.
    3. I think that it was awarded for his entire service in the war. That is how I would view it, based upon the wording. If it were for a certain battle, time period, or act, it would have stated so on the citation. That is the way US awards are cited.
    4. That is a wonderful looking group. I would love to find a nice Bogdan one day.
    5. The materials look correct to me. AS you stated, there is no way to know for sure on a tailor or custom made item. I do like it, as it seems to have the right patina and the items used on the inside, are as I would expect to see them. Are there any other opinions?
    6. I personally hope that you stay bored. Please keep them coming.
    7. That is something we do not see. Does anyone know how many Iron Cross Second Classes were awarded for this war?
    8. Scanning it will be quite the undertaking. What information, other than name and ranks, are provided in this book?
    9. That is a great rebuild Mervynn. Are you going to be keeping that bar for yourself? If not, you should consider it. Are those other items from the same grouping(excluding the medal bar)?
    10. Those are some amazing photos. The Krebbs photo, is mind blowing in its significance. I wonder what was going through their minds as they are waiting to go inside to begin negotiations?
    11. It is a really cool item with a great story. Thanks for sharing it.
    12. I have not seen another. Is this current issue?
    13. I think that he was with the AEF, as he was part of the 32nd Infantry Division.

There are some very attractive medals. I really like the Health Department medal.
    15. Rob, Thank you for sharing your helmet. I love the eagle on that one. How were you able to get such detailed information from a simple name? It must have been a highly unusual name. What others do you have? I look forward to seeing them. Ewe... Thanks for the liner shot. That helmet of yours is stellar. I love the nonglare finish on it. I do have a question... I know that regulations came out first to cover up/remove the shield, then the national eagle, on the helmets. I am sure that this was done in mass, at formation. My question is that, how did so many double decal helmets survive the war? Were they already picked up as souviners before each of the regulations were passed?
    16. I did not know that such items were made. Was Greece the only country that made such medals for military exercises?
