Dansson Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 If we're sharing Napoleonic bars, I'll contribute. Here's an original mounting that came from a house clearance. Contains: EK2 - 1813, Wideframe (Serif core type), KDM 1814 (round cornered variation) and the 2.Model of the 25 year service cross. Best regards, Daniel
Komtur Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Unfortunately these decoration came no longer as a bar, but they survive as a grouping. The way, the ribbons are folded, seems to confirm, they were worn together.
Dansson Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Fantastic, do you have closer pictures of the EK2? It looks like a very early multi-piece construction from here.

tompress Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Hi, let me show this bar: nothing very special, and well worn, but has his charm
Dansson Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Very nice Komtur. If you're ever selling that set away, please keep me in mind, that EK2 is a nice early multi-piece framed cross with the Serif core (probably stepped too).
Solomon Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Here is a Lippe-bar...the left medal is the 1866 war memory medal Lippe-Detmold And again a Lippe-bar...with the silver merit cross of the house order (awarded for 1870/71): And.....a Prussian bar with the silver merit medal Lippe-Detmold. The bar belongs to gendarme Hufen from Rietberg (near Guetersloh):
Paul R Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 Solomon, Outstanding bars. Komtur, That 1813 set is out of this world. I agree, they look like they've been together a long time. Tompress, Are the ribbons stuck to the bar still or simply lying on? Very nice set... I love it.

BalkanCollector Posted December 23, 2018 Posted December 23, 2018 These are magnificent! I really like to see old medal bars even if I don't collect them myself.
