laurentius Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 Dear ccj The third award is a bavarian Luitpoldkreuz for 40 years of public service, the fifth award is a Sicherheitsdienst-auszeichnung for 35 years of service in the police (Gendarmerie). It is a very nice bar if I may say so. Kind regards, Laurentius
ixhs Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 Yes, the Bathildis medal is really not often seen on medal bars. Sometimes you can find NC bars with Oldenburg FAK on combatant ribbon (means mixed bars) - or on non-combatant ribbon. I have both of them.
elbavaro Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 @Spolei: nice bar, but .... wrong medal on 5th place. This is not the ribbon for a Police Service medal. It should look like that ....
VtwinVince Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 Komtur, who is the maker of your Johannniter-Kreuz?

VtwinVince Posted January 8, 2019 Posted January 8, 2019 Thanks. The reason I ask is I think people are trying to figure out some medals which have the clover-like mark on them, specifically some Hamburg Hansa Crosses. I have a Naval Flyer's Commemorative which also has this mark.

The coolest HK citation I've seen. Thank you for sharing it. I have not seen any others. Have I just been unlucky or are they that rare? Komtur- This is seriously a pinnacle nurse's set. Thank you!

Or i just don't have luck to find them.

ixhs Posted January 17, 2019 Posted January 17, 2019 (edited) Bars with Sicherheitsdienstauszeichung are definitely rare. I am still looking for one with IC non combatant. Nice pic - i like those nurse pics. They are definitely not so easy to find. A little mystery: Who am I ? Which ribbon do I wear? I know decorations (turkish war medal... ) which does have those Kleeblatt mark with J H W in it. Edited January 17, 2019 by ixhs
BalkanCollector Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 Such a beautiful bar! What's the first medal? Something Ottoman I guess.
christerd Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 I have this bar , think its quite unusual with a bow mount for a gentleman ? Could it be for a woman Bavarian nurse for example ??
ixhs Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 Hat der Hesse die immer noch ? Nice minis. PS: The shown person on my pic is Schwester (Frl.) Lonny H. von Versen with her ribbon of the IC. One of a handfull female recipients of the IC. The pic was taken in St. Mihiel 1915. (written on the backside)
Daniel Krause Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 One from me ? wirklicher geheimer Kriegsrat Ernst Grützmacher, Department chief in the prussian War Ministry. how to translate his rank?? Substantive privy war councillor? civil equivalent to a Major General best Daniel
Nicolas7507 Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 Daniel, that is one of the best NC-Bars I have ever seen. Wow! Nothing too exciting, but here is one bar from my collection:
Solomon Posted July 11, 2019 Posted July 11, 2019 Here is another small contribution... - war honor medal Lippe-Detmold for NC - house-order 4th class div. A Lippe-Detmold (made by C.F. Zimmermann, late piece)
Daniel Krause Posted August 18, 2019 Posted August 18, 2019 Another one: Oberkriegsgerichtsrat a.D. Alfred Schaeffer, Serving in WW1 at the dep.IX. Army Corps staff. Best, Daniel
